Jacks POV

It was time. I was going to ask Noah if Alex likes me. I walked over to Noah after we finished breakfast. "Can i talk to you for a sec?" I whispered. He nodded and pulled me to the living room. Alex was in the kitchen with Millie, Finn, and Chloe. They were laughing and trying to balance grapes on their foreheads.
      "What's up?" Noah asked.
      "I need to ask you something...."

Noah's POV

     "What?" I asked. Jack shuffled his feet.
      "Can i trust you with a secret?" He asked. I nodded.
     "Totally."
      "Ok..." he started. "Do you know if Alex likes me?" I froze. Does he like Alex back or does he just want to know?
      "Um, why?" I asked as casually as I could.
      "I'm just wondering," he replied.
      "Oh." I didn't know what to do. Alex made me swear not to tell. I had to lie. "Well she doesn't."
      "Ok thanks," he said. "I was just curious." He walked away a little too fast. He liked her back.

Jack's POV

I felt like a bowling ball fell into my stomach. Finn was wrong. She doesn't like me. Why had I been such an idiot?

Alex

     "Alex," Noah tapped me.
     "Yes?" I asked. He pulled me into the living room. "What?" I asked confused.
      "Jack just asked if you like him," he responded nervously
      "What'd you say?" I asked.
      "I said no."
     "Good.... i think... I'm not sure. Does he like me back?"
" I think so!" Noah sighed. "He seemed upset when i said no." I groaned. What do i do? Maybe i should tell him... if he likes me, we could be happy together. Oh shut up Alex, he has a girlfriend and he clearly loves her. I need to go with this.
"You did the right thing," i said. "Thanks Noah." I hugged him and sighed.

The rest of that day was super awkward. I didn't know how to act around jack so I just... avoided him. I hung out with Noah and Millie and I had a good time, but I could tell he realized why i was doing.
This sucked.
