"I thought you didn't like Nicole," Eddie hums, nervously playing with his fingers as they sit in the grass.

"I didn't at first, but I changed my mind," Wren smiles.

She doesn't like that he won't look her directly in the eye, so she does the only thing she can think of. She takes her hand and laces it between one of his. Immediately, his gaze drifts up, and he blushes deeply.

"You know, I use to piss you off a lot," Wren snorts, "And now you're like putty in my hands."

Eddie rolls his eyes, "You still piss me off! You're still dangerous, irresponsible, totally careless—"

"Hey!"'

"—and pretty, and really smart, and so pretty..."

Wren blushes wildly and giggles. Without thinking, she leans over and kisses his cheek softly. Eddie smiles widely, and avoids the urge to touch the spot she just kissed.

"Jeez, you make my mind a mess.." he mumbles.

Richie pushes between the two obnoxiously, and wraps an arm around them both.

"That isn't the only thing Eddie makes a mess of when he thinks of you," he loudly states. Wren laughs loudly, and Eddie harshly nudges the trash mouth away.

"Leave th-them alone, R-Richie," Bill defends, pulling the boy away from them.

Eddie immediately throws Bill a thankful smile before looking towards Wren. Her smile is as wide as always, and her hand is still linked with his. Her eyes meet his with a playful glint sparkling through.

"Come with me to get something from my car?" She asks softly.

He nods his head, and helps her stand up. Once they're both up, she walks with him away from the losers and towards the vehicle. It seems Nicole and Bobby must've left her because his car isn't there anymore.

She slides into the driver's seat of her car, and Eddie climbs into the passenger seat.

"So what did you need to get?" Eddie questions, looking around.

Wren doesn't say anything, she just swoops over to his seat and presses her lips to his. His eyes widen in surprise, but he quickly shuts them and allows the girl to kiss him. He still doesn't quite know what to do with his hands, or how he should be kissing her, or what's okay, or why she tastes like cherry even though she smokes cigarettes.

When Wren pulls away, his eyes remain shut, and his mouth slightly ajar.

"You still don't know how to kiss me," she laughs. Eddie opens his eyes and blushes wildly.

"Sorry, I'm not such a professional like you. I haven't exactly had anyone to practice on—"

"I'm kidding, Eddie," she laughs. "You'll get use to it soon, and you aren't a bad kisser. You're just an awkward kisser. Just relax, okay? Pretend the world around you isn't even watching."

Eddie nods his head slightly.

"Mind if I get closer to you?" She asks.

He nods again, "Yeah, sure, but how?"

To answer his question, she moves from the drivers seat and climbs onto his lap. He stares at her wide eyed as she takes her time to get herself comfortable.

Finally, she notices his stare.

"Is this okay? Or are you gonna have an asthma attack?"

"I don't know, my lungs haven't decided yet,"
He responds with a nervous smile.
