"COURTNEY ALLISON!" Ms. Crest screamed, snapping me out of my train of thoughts.
"Yes Ms. Crest?" I gulped.
Ms. Crest was the one who is in charge of the orphanage. She was pretty scary when she got mad but she can be very nice when you want her to be.
Currently, she was trying to teach us algebra. I know I said that she's incharge of the orphanage, but she also teaches us some stuff because she was a highschool teacher before she took over the orphanage.
"I was talking to you and you weren't even paying attention!" She yelled.
"I'm sorry Ms. Crest. It won't happen again." I looked down and apologized.
I heard some kids sniggering, I ignored them and continued scribbling some song lyrics in my notebook.
"Children ages 10-17 years old, please fix yourself and meet me at the meeting room in precisely 10 minutes." Anna's voice boomed over the orphange's PA system.
Anna was Ms. Crest sister and also her assistant. She was the one incharge of the front desk and adoption papers.
I stood from my chair and ran to my room. Once I got there, I grabbed my brush and brushed my long honey blonde hair. I re-applied my eyeliner and eyeshadow.
Some people say that I looked like a 17 year old rather than a 14 year old.
I put my flipflops away and exchanged them for a pair of black combat boots.
I wore my white Fall Out Boy band shirt, red skinnies, and black combat boots. I added some necklaces and arm bands.
When I was done, I made my way to the meeting room and saw that everyone was already there.
"Emo freak." Christina smirked when I passed by her.
"Leave me alone Christina." I glared at her.
"Ooh. What you gonna do? Slash your wrists again?" She teased. I sighed and sat on a bean bag. I pulled my arm bands closer to my wrists to hide my scars. Yes, I cut. You just don't notice them because of my extremely pale complexion which made some of the scars blend in. But some are still red because they were still new.
Anna entered the room and called a kid named Red.
"You know that you'll never get adopted, right? I mean, who would want to adopt and emo freak like you." Christina laughed.
"Leave her alone Christina!" a familliar voice yelled. A voice which belonged to my bestfriend, Carter.
"What are you gonna do if I don't?" Christina glared.
"This!" Carter yelled. She slapped Christina with so much force which made her fall to the ground.
Carter sat beside me and sighed.
"That felt good. Next time she bad mouths you like that, I'll rip her tongue out." Muttered angrily.
I laughed at my bestfriend's brutality. Carter has been my only friend since she got here. She was the only one who understands how I feel.
Anna entered the room again.
"Courtney Allison?" She called out.
I stood from my chair and smiled at Carter before going inside the room.
"Hello!" A voice greeted. A voice that I have been listening to in my times of pain. The voice I listen to everyday and every night.
The voice of Patrick Stump. Lead singer in my favorite band, Fall Out Boy.
"Oh my God." I gasped.
I looked around the room and saw every members of the band here.
Patrick.
Pete.
Andy.
Joe.
Fall Out Boy is with me in the same room.
"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE HERE! YOU'RE FALL OUT BOY!" I screamed in happiness. Time to let my inner fangirl out!
"Yes. So, you've heard of us?" Patrick laughed.
"Yes you dumb ass! Look at her shirt!" Pete smirked.
"Can we keep her?" Andy pleaded.
"We have to interview her first!" Joe answered.
"Right, well. What's your name?" Pete asked.
"I'm Courtney." I smiled.
"Well, Courtney. What are your hobbies?" Patrick smiled.
"Singing, listening to music, drawing, writing, playing football or soccer, and watching movies." I answered.
"Ooh! You sing? Can you sing for us?" Andy requested.
"Okay. What song?" I asked.
"Anything!" They shouted in unison.
I laughed and started singing.
"Well, when you go
Don't ever think I'll make you try to stay
And maybe when you get back
I'll be off to find another way
When after all this time that you still owe
You're still a good for nothing I don't know
So take your gloves and get out
Better get out while you can
When you go and would you even turn to say
"I don't love you like I did yesterday?"
Sometimes I cry so hard from pleading
So sick and tired of all the needless beating
But baby when they knock you down and out
It's where you ought to stay
Well after all the blood that you still owe
Another dollar's just another blow
So fix your eyes and get up
Better get up while you can, whoa whoa
When you go and would you even turn to say
" I don't love you like I did yesterday?"
Well come on, come on!
When you go, would you have the guts to say
"I don't love you like I loved you yesterday?"
I don't love you like I loved you yesterday
I don't love you like I loved you yesterday"
I finished singing and saw that the boys were looking at me with mouths wide open.
"You guys should close your mouths you know? You might attract flies with that." I laughed.
"That was amazing!" Joe exclaimed.
"Absolutely!" Patrick clapped.
"That's a yes for me!" Pete laughed.
We stared at Pete for a few moments and started laughing.
Patrick smiled and whispered something to Pete that made him grin.
"You can go now Courtney." Pete smiled.
I smiled and excited the room.
I still cannot believe that I met Fall Out Boy in person.
