This place holds so many memories, both good and bad.

Memories that mean so much to me.

I didn't realize that I was already crying when Pete, Patrick, Joe, and Andy came up to and hugged me.

Carter stood at the doorway with a pained expression, she looked like she was about to cry. I hated seeing her like this, she was always so strong. I wouldn't know what to do without her.

I ran up to her and hugged her really tight as if my life depended in it.

I heard a sob coming from Carter. I broke down in her arms.

"Goddamit, I promised myself I wouldn't cry again." Carter sobbed.

I cried again and held her tighter.

"I'm gonna miss you so bad." I cried.

"I'm gonna miss you too. Be strong for me, okay? Don't mind what other people think or say about you. You are the most wonderful, nicest, and beautiful person in the world. Please stay that way. And always remember this, Don't give up on yourself." She sobbed.

I heard someone sniff at the other side of the room, I realized that the sniff belonged to the boys.

"God, we just made FOB cry." Carter chuckled.

"We weren't crying!" Pete yelled.

"What ever keeps your boat floating Wentz." Carter joked.

"Shutup." Pete mumbled.

I laughed and hugged Carter again. I know, I hug too much. But if you were in my condition, you would probably do the same.

I walked out of my room and headed to the main entrance to the orphanage.

"One night and one more time

Thanks for the memories

Even though they weren't so great

He tastes like you only sweeter." I sang as I walked out the doors, chatching every kids attention.

Soon, Carter and the boys were singing along as we made our way outside.

"So, this is goodbye then." I sobbed.

"Hey hey hey. Don't cry. Be strong for me. This isn't goodbye yet. I'm sure we'll see each other again. I love you to the moon and back. Be strong for me, okay?" Carter smiled.

"Okay. Thank you for everything. Goodbye Carter." I smiled sadly.

"Bye Courtney." She waved.

I got in the black SUV and Patrick drove off.

"Don't worry Court. You'll see her again soon." Pete cooed, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"I hope." I mumbled.

I leaned on Pete and wrapped my arms around him.

He seemes to be taken a back but he hugged me back too.

Pete's Pov•

"Don't worry Court. You'll see her again soon." I cooed, wrapping my arm around her shoulder.

"I hope." She mumbled.

She leaned towards me and wrapped her small arms around me.

I was shocked at first, but then I smiled and hugged her back.

I noticed Joe, Patrick, and Andy smilling at me.

"Where are we going?" I heard Courtney ask.

"Back to the hotel. It might take a while, so you can just take a nap here." I smiled.

She nodded and rested her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm securely around her as she nuzzled her head in the crook of my neck.

Soon enough, Courtney's breathing turned even, signaling that she was asleep.

"I can tell that she already trusts you Pete." Andy smiled.

"I agree with Andy. She looks peaceful and happy in your arms like that." Joe chuckled.

Courtney stirred in my arms, she mumbled something that I didn't understand.

"You okay Court?" I asked with pure concern.

"Asdfltgh" She mumbled.

"What?"

"Peterick." She mumbled again.

That was when I realized that she was sleep-talking.

I laughed and took out my phone taking a video of Courtney sleep-talking.

"I want waffles!" She mumble-yelled (is that even possible?)

"This is priceless." Patrick chuckled from the driver's seat.

"Go away Christina." She mumbled again.

God, Christina even bugs Courtney in her dreams.

Courtney's head fell on my lap and her legs were on Joe's lap.

"She sure looks comfy." Joe chuckled.

I smiled and looked out the window, i still can't believe that the band adopted a 14 year old girl.

My deep train of thoughts was interrupted by Courtney's phone who was now ringing and vibrating in her jacket pocket.

I laughed because her ringtone was ' She's A Rebel ' by Green Day.

She slowly reached for her phone without even opening her eyes.

"Hello?... Yeah, It's me... Yeah, I'm okay... Bye..." She mumbled.

"Who was that?" I asked curiously.

"It was Anna. She's Ms. Crest's sister/assistant." She answered sleepily.

"Oh. You should go back to sleep. We're still a long way from the hotel. I'll wake you up when we get there." I smiled.

"Mkay." She answered.

I chuckled and leaned back in my seat. I barely felt any weight on my lap even though Courtney's head and shoulders were on it. My smile was quickly replaced with a frown.

Was she even eating back in the orphanage? She was pretty thin, but not anorexic thin. Just really fit.

I had a hunch, maybe she was depressed? What if Christina's bullying went too far before? What if she starved herself in some point before? What if she did self-harm? Oh God. I hope all of these hunches weren't true.

"You okay Pete?" Joe frowned, probably noticing my troubled expression.

"I'll tell you guys later." I sighed.

I know that I just met her but I got instantly attached to this kid wearing skinnies and combat boots. Something about Courtney made me want to protect her from any harm, even if that meant risking my life for her.

Should I pull her sleeves up just to make sure she didn't have any scars? What if she gets mad? What- Ah, fuck it!

I slowly pulled Courtney's left jacket sleeve upwards.

I froze at what I saw.

Scars covered her wrists, both fading and some are still healing. I pulled her right jacket sleeve upward and saw the same.

"Oh God." I whispered. I felt my eyes sting as tears fell down to my cheeks.

"Pete? Why are you-oh." Patrick asked but stopped mid-sentence when he saw Courtney's wrist.

"I knew it. I knew it was impossible surviving Christina's bullying without doing self-harm." I sobbed.

Courtney stirred in my lap. Her eyes fluttered open and she starred at her exposed wrists.

Her eyes widened and she sat up immediately while trying to cover her wrists with her jacket sleeves.

Tears ran down her cheeks as she struggled hiding her scars.

"I'm sorry." She cried.
