"Once upon a time", wait what? That is so not going to be my introduction. That phrase had been used like a million times already by millions of people. I dare not use that phrase! Okay, before anything else, I would like to introduce myself. I am Sophia Clarke, 18 years old from Boston. I grew up with my loving parents, Claire & Blaine Clarke and my 16 year old brother, Toby. The best description I can give about my family background is that, we are not that rich and not that poor, we're like in the middle. My brother and I get what we need instead of what we liked. One simple rule that my parents have planted in their minds is not to spoil us that much because they think spoiling us is not a good way of bringing up kids especially these days. They don't spoil us by getting what we like instead they give us what we deserved. Sometimes, I kind of blamed them for that kind of thinking. I mean, who wouldn't like to be spoiled? Who wouldn't like to get what they want? Anyway, I feel kind of thankful also because I didn't grow up like those spoiled brats from rich families who gets whatever they want& when they want. Okay, enough with the introduction, let's go to the good part.

SOPHIA

I went extra early at school today because I have to meet my best friend Sabrina. We have the same classes almost every day so we meet at the school gate and go to our classes together. "Today, we are going to discuss about some designs by famous designers around the world" Mr. Norton said to the class while showing pictures of the samples. Sabrina giggled at the idea because she loves looking at new designs.
"What do you think of the new prada bag, the one they launched this month?" Sabrina asked me with twinkling eyes.

I told her it was a great design but I know we can do better than that. She jumped high and low for what I said. I just gave her a slight smile.

SABRINA

I can't believe Sophia just agreed to my idea and I just couldn't stop smiling like an idiot which gave me weird looks from my classmates. Anyway, I didn't care for what they think or say, I just do what I want to do. I gasped at the image I have imagined for the new designs we are going to make.

After a few days...

"Mom & Dad, I am going to Sophia's house for a sleepover!" Sabrina told her parents while they were eating dinner. Her parents just nodded their head in agreement.

Sab came earlier than I anticipated; no, I mean she came super early. She came at 6:30pm which is unlike her. Our meeting time is usually 8:00pm. I guess there's something wrong in their house that made her come early. Anyway, I am happy coz I have someone to help me prepare everything for our sleepover. Someone just rang the doorbell; I was guessing it would be Kim or Savannah. To my surprise, it was Luke, my childhood friend who lives just across the street.

"Hey" I told him while giving him a welcoming smile as I opened the door.

"Hey there Miss Clarke" He said jokingly. I glared at him and he kept his mouth shut. I saw him holding up a plate full of I don't know so I asked. "What are those?" pointing at the plates he was holding.

"Worms specially made for you" He answered with a wide grin. I slapped his shoulders.

"Nah, I'm kidding, this is my Mom's homemade Lasagna, she wanted to share it with you guys", Luke said.

"Awe! How thoughtful of her, can you tell Mrs. David thank you & you, my friend can put it in the kitchen", I smiled at him.

Luke came inside the kitchen, my mom saw him and they chatted for a little bit then I remember that I had baked apple pie today. I gave him one pan of freshly baked apple pie. I know Mr. and Mrs. David loved them. He said goodbye to my mom and I walked him out of the door and there he went home.

After walking Luke out, I called Sabrina to taste Mrs. David's lasagna. To my surprise, she almost ate everything and I tried my best to stop her. I know she can be a pig sometimes when it comes to food. I mean, I don't blame her. The lasagna tastes like heaven. After clearing out the dishes that we've used, the doorbell rang again. I opened the door and saw Savannah and Kim at the door. I invited them in and they both greeted my mom & dad before we head back to my room.

"So guys, what do you want to watch? Dear john, the notebook or the last song?" Kim asked us while showing us the CD's she borrowed at the CD store earlier.

I raised my hands and said "The last song" while Sabrina said that she wants to "Dear John". Savannah just said she wants to watch "The Notebook" because she has the same name as the character in Dear John which might be awkward. As expected, Kim has to choose one between the three choices. We made our puppy looks at her and she decided for us to watch The Notebook. It was a good movie, I tell you. I really love Nicholas Sparks, he writes good books that turn to movies.

After a night of laughter, eating foods and unending stories, we ended up sleeping at about 2 am. I know, so much for a sleepover right? Well, I couldn't blame them. We have so much to talk about since we won't be seeing each other for quite a while. We will all be busy by our own classes  and we will be at different classrooms.

The next day, we woke up at about 9 am. The breakfast is already made by my thoughtful mom. Dad had gone out to work early like 6 am. He doesn't like getting late at work. You know lawyers; they like to get their work done.

"Good morning kids", my mom greeted us.

"Mom, we are not kids anymore", I replied and she just put up a sweet smile.

"Good morning Mrs. Clarke", my friends greeted my mom.

"So, what's for breakfast Mrs. Clarke?", Sab asked my mom.

"Pancake, bacon and eggs my dear" my mom replied.

"Oh! Goody!" the three said in unison.

"I will be back shortly after I go grocery shopping", mom told me. Mom and bid us good bye while we were still eating our breakfast.

"Your mom makes the best breakfast!" Kim said.

"Oh, come on! Don't compliment her too much or she can't stop smiling", I said jokingly. The rest of them just laughed at me.

After eating breakfast and fixing our stuffs from last night, the three girls decided to go home.

"Goodbye Sophia, thank you for today and last night", Savannah, Kim and Sab said while they gave me a short kiss on the cheeks.

"Thank you guys for giving me time and I am happy that you enjoyed my company. Hope to see you soon", I told them while walking them out the door.

After I walked my friends out, I decided I should do some cleaning in the house. After all, I am not busy and I could use some exercise.

~Luke's POV~

One year more, me and my friends will graduate from Highschool. I will be soon moving out of our house and work my ass off. I am already 18 years old for God's sake. I have to have my own place. I wonder what Sophia thought of the lasagna my mom made. I hoped she liked it. I always knew she loves eating, it's just sometimes she hides it.
