"Shit!"Tyra pulled up her dark green hood. She moved as fast as her long legs could carry her. As she ripped down the allyway, a siren blared in the background. Her gaze shot back for a brief moment to see if her companion was still behind her. Sure enough, Angie was moving behind her, a spark of ill intent in her forest green eyes and a wicked grin on her red lips.
"Leave it to you to make mischief!" Angie chuckled mirthfully. Tyra scowled and rolled her eyes. She knew they were coming to an opening. If they split up, the cops were less likely to catch them. Or at least less likely to catch her. Angie's grin fell.
"Hey," she pointed forward. "Tyra look out!"
Tyra turned back but it was too late. She crashed with full force against the the side of the front of a parked car. She had enough momentum to carry her over the hood and send her painfully to the ground on the other side. She groaned as pain quickly spread to her body. She rose to her feet quickly and turned in Angie's direction. To her surprise the girl was no longer there and she was greeted by a familiar, strong voice:
"Don't you dare move!"
______________________________Tyra sighed as Detective D'Amore put her in the back of the car. Serena D'Amore had always been a pain in Tyra's side. Because she was a family friend, she always seemed to stick her nose into whatever it was Tyra was doing. Today she happened to find Tyra spray-painting the side of a building with her friends.
Running her hand through her brunette curls the woman sighed. She slammed the door and proceeded to move to the front of the car. Tyra scowled as the detective made her way into the front seat and started the vehicle.
"Did you have to cuff me?" Tyra snapped as she wiggled uncomfortably with her wrists locked in metal. From the rear view mirror her green eyes were met with agitated chocolate brown ones.
"Be happy I'm not actually arresting you this time! This is the third time this week!" Serena stated.
"Nobody told you to follow me!" Tyra shot back pouting. Serena turned to face the girl with fire in her eyes.
"If I didn't follow you, some other cop would find you! Your mother is sick and your parents can't handle the stress of paying your bail right now!" She snapped venomously.
Tyra stopped and fixed her gaze on the detective bitterly. She clenched her jaw. She knew that D'Amore was right but she wasn't about to admit that. Tyra knew if she really tried she could probably talk herself out of this situation. She managed to get herself out of similar ones with little effort. Tyra allowed herself to relax and then put on a faux smile. Honestly how hard could it be? She didn't even notice that Tyra was managing to break her hands free of the handcuffs.
"You know-"
"Shut up." The detective said turning her gaze away from Tyra as confusion spread across her face.
"Excuse me?" Tyra said slightly taken aback. When the woman didn't answer her, her anger grew.
"Do you smell that?" Serena said in a low voice. Tyra scoffed and took in a deep inhale. It was not long before a putrid scent filled her nose. She stared at the Italian woman in disgust.
"First you handcuff me and then you fart, really? And by the way what did you eat? It smells like you have a corpse up your-"
BOOM!
Tyra jerked forward and hit the back of the detective's seat hard with her head as a large force impacted the car. As she managed to sit herself back up she found that her vision was blurred and her nose and lip were bleeding. She could see that the windshield had shattered and Detective D'Amore was pulling herself away from her wheel. Through her hazed vision she saw a blur move in front of the car. Though Tyra couldn't see it clearly it obviously alarmed Serena.
