Eight Years Later...
*Katherine's POV*
It's been eight years since I was fighting for my life, it was the most scary experience I've ever been through. But it put things into perspective, makes me appreciate everything more...makes me realise just how easily short life can be.
I've expanded my design business, the neighbouring businesses in my building have sold up and left. I bought their space, meaning the whole building is mine now. I've hired a whole team and business is booming! I've got high class clients requesting for me to do their homes, such as Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Julia Roberts and many more. I keep pinching myself everyday because it seems too good to be true.
Right now I'm at the Super Bowl with Amelia, Prince is going to be performing at the Halftime Show. We're so excited, as is everybody else here.
The lights go out then after awhile his symbol lights up on the field in Purple, hundreds upon hundreds of fans surrounding the symbol shaped stage. A grin plasters on my face, the spotlight appearing on my fine as Husband. Age has done nothing to him, he performs his starter songs but everyone's really bracing themselves for the knock out ending...
As Prince begins performing 'Purple Rain', it actually starts to rain...as if this couldn't be more perfect.
"Wow! Look at Dad go!" Amelia exclaims, a big smile appearing on her freshly wet face.
"I know." I say proudly.
