Deidara stared at the dark sky as it is engulfed in colorful and creative fireworks. The air is crisp and cold, even though New Years just started. He hasn't started a conversation with Yukino yet, he understood why she slapped him at the isolated area they just went a few weeks ago.
Every time he thought about what happened, his stomach will feel weird and he hated that feeling. Deidara thought that she would absolutely hate the world he is from and he will keep it a secret for a while. His guildmates are at the guild hall watching the fireworks, they understand that he needs his space and time for himself.
He wanted to make it up to her, so the blonde male sent a letter via dove. Deidara sneezed and shivered a little since he's been staying there for about an hour.
"D..Deidara-sama."
Deidara quickly stood up from the swing when he heard a familiar voice that he was longing to hear for a few weeks. He looked over to the smaller girl. "Ah..Yukino. Good evening." Deidara said politely and bows his head a little.
"I still won't forgive you, but I came here because I wanna discuss about the guy." Yukino said, crossing her arms over her chest. A small laugh escaped from the blonde male's lips. "Right, Right. At least we won't be apart then it's okay." He said.
"I came here because I feel unsettled about that guy."
"At least I am not the only one who thinks about the same thing. I would've killed him on-the-spot if you didn't stop me. "
That shot Yukino right in the heart, Deidara had to tell the truth and he knew the words will strike her but he had too be honest. "Oh...I was blinded with anger at that time. Because j-justice... is pretty important especially when you're part of a guild." Yukino sputtered.
Deidara sighs softly.
She has a lot of learning to do.
"I see. Since it's New Years, how about we investigate? I've tried to investigate about his guild mark, through the books and information about Dark Guilds. Nothing came out." Deidara explained and looks over to the brown-eyed girl.
"I did my research earlier, and I heard that the guild's name was Wolf Tale. I've heard it among the few guild members from different affiliations." Yukino said, Deidara landed in front of her.
"I'm guessing that the name of that guild went through their ears pretty fast. So I assume that dark guild is really strong and it is newly established in a unknown area." Deidara mumbled, rubbing his chin softly.
What Deidara didn't understand is that why does she have to always follow the law for justice? What he tried to do the other day was to protect her and the sake of everyone's lives. He didn't want to play the villain, he wanted to play the hero for once. But he had the lack of guidance of being a hero, he was the 'villain' for all this time.
Deidara looked at Yukino, then the girl looked away, embarrassed. Which left him confused, but he shrugged it off. "Now..what are we going to do..? How am I gonna explain this to our scary guildmaster in Sabertooth..? They won't believe me." Yukino said, her hands shivering in fear.
Deidara grabbed her hand to reassure her. "Now, what we have to do is to investigate this thoroughly. Macao-san knows about this, since I have explained it to him with pure honesty. Fairy Tail is willing to help, even though we're the lowest of the low." Deidara said.
Yukino slowly smiled at his kind and reassuring words. Even though she looked down on Fairy Tail, they were so kind and helpful, they still remained the same even though the main members are gone for seven whole years. "Fairy tail still remained the same..." she mumbled under her breath.
"Hm?" Deidara asks.
"Hmph! I still don't forgive you." Yukino said, crossing her arms. Deidara rolled his eyes.
"Whatever, un. You should explain to one of your members, the ones that you trust completely." Deidara said, turning his back.
"Our investigation is still ongoing. We'll celebrate New Year, later." Deidara said, looking over his shoulder and grins at the girl.
Yukino nods, determined to bring down Wolf Tale no matter what. So they can protect the whole humanity.

A/N hello everyone. I really want to make up to all of you who are reading this book and has been waiting for my updates for a long long time. It's just that I'm really packed and I'm in college now, taking Political Science and Law. It's really tiring, actually.
