Ten

The wall was twice as tall as the fence that surrounded her city. And it was a wall not a fence. It was made of giant concrete slabs. The slabs were not smooth. In fact, they were actually very lumpy.

“What do we do?” Dany asked. The entire group was standing in front of the wall, staring at it.

“We climb it.” Jon said.

“How?” Dany and Ed asked at the same time.

“Look.” Ten said, walking up to the wall. She rubbed her hand over the bumps on the surface of the wall. “We can climb these.” Ten demonstrated by grabbing onto a lump of concrete and hauling herself off the ground. She rested her feet against the wall and continued, making her way halfway up the wall.

“Be careful.” Dany yelled up to her.

“She can do it.” Jon said, smiling.

Ten continued to climb. At some points, the bumps were smaller and Ten had a hard time gripping them. She finally made it up to the top and sat on the edge. Ten looked to the other side.

“What is it?” Jon asked.

“I don’t know. It looks like some type of city, but its really big. Like really big. At least twice as big as all of our cities put together.” Ten said. Jon ran up to the wall and began climbing it. soon, the rest of the group did the same and they were all sitting on the edge.

“Wow.” Dany gasped. “So do we go in?”

“Why not?” Jon said. He turned so his feet were facing the inside of the wall and he jumped down, landing in a roll.

“I would recommend the rest of us to climb down.” Dany said, working her way down. Ten began to scale down the wall and once she was a few feet from the bottom, she jumped.

Once everyone else was inside, they began walking towards the nearest building.

“So what are we going to do?” Dany asked. “Come up and say hey, we just climbed your giant wall and we want to know what’s going on in here’...?”

“Pretty much.” Jon said.  They walked for about five minutes before they came to a small gate. There were two guards with guns and a lady standing between them, smiling.

“Welcome to the north.” The lady said, walking up to them. “follow me.” she turned and began walking.

Jon and Ten looked at each other. The woman hadn’t even turned around to see if they were following. They decided to go and they jogged to catch up with her. The two armed guards followed behind the group.
