The sun is almost at the middle of the sky, just slightly a bit towards the right. The sun's white beams of light are bright, but have a sort of protective feel to them today, it's almost as if at this very moment the sun is looking down and watching us and here is what it sees.
There's a woman, she has wrinkly elderly skin that is fair in color. This woman's hair is completely grey with only a few strands of black in it. This woman is much, much older. She stands smiling politely but there is something that seems off about her, something unusual. Many people have came and walked right past her at this point, but she continues to stand in the same spot, hands held together in front of her body with this overly innocent smile on her face. Nothing about this position that she is in has changed for five minutes.
Suddenly a boy that looks like he is in his young adult stages is seen rushing down the street and lightly bumps into the woman. The woman immediately falls to the ground. Something in her presence alivens, her metallic gray eyes widen. The woman does not moan, grunt or even scream from the impact of this fall. What is she?
The young boy snaps, like he has just had a a heart attack. He instantly grabs her hand and is about to try to help her up. But the old lady does not even try to pull up." I am so so sorry, I was in a huge rush and I wasn't--"he is cut off by the woman's first words.
"Please, please" the woman whimpers
"Please what? Please what tell me!" the young boy says overzealously completely filled with anxiety.
"Carry me" the old woman bags.
"Wha-"the youngboy confusingly begins.
"Please carry me to the doctor"the old woman cuts him off.
The young boy snaps into it and is now urgent. He's scrams to the floor and grabs the woman by the tall of her back and the creases of her knees (the other side of her knees) she lays lifeless in his arms as he holds her like a newborn baby, but she's far from that.
The woman's lips suddenly start to rise into a crescent shape. What is she about to do? Unexpectedly the woman swings her head over to the young man's left air and perfectly aligned her mouth to his ear. She leads a whisper into his ear, a whisper so faint in a heartless that not even my narrator ears can hear.
The boy begins to laugh, laugh like he's never laughed before." You think, you could rob me" he continues to out burst with the old woman in his arms.
She looks deep into his eyes as he laughs and politely wait until he is finished. "Yes" she says. For some weird reason the boy looks at his hip. Oh no.
He's bruised. Violently tearing a fragment of his clothing and welting his skin he feels as if he had been slapped in the face by the hand of surprise. He looked at the woman, knowing full and well that she calls this. What is she? He thinks caught in a rushed feeling of panic. There it is. A dagger being living into the second layer of his skin. However this dagger is not your typical blade. No it is nothing like a regular knife. This daggers composed of a razor edged ice, speeding and forcing its way into the young man's skin. The old woman's eyes aligned with the young man's. The woman breaks out of that crescent shape smile.
"As you were saying?"old woman says in a taunting attitude following with a villainous snicker.
This laugh continues for a noticeably longer amount of seconds then it should have. The woman begins to stop herself, halting the display of amusement entirely. The young man's eyes have shrunk with fear and anxiety. Abruptly the woman grabs the young man's collarbone and swings herself to his ear. Much like how she did in the first time, however this time she is clawing into the young man's bone. That shoots a bullet of pain up the young man spine, so torturous he wants to reach out to his last breath. But he can't, he can't let anyone here or notice what is going on. So he swallows the screaming and absorbs the pain.
The woman is ready to speak. "So here is what's going to happen. You are going to put me down. Then you are going to give everything you have to me, and I mean everything that is in your pockets. And I will be able to sense if you're holding anything back from me" her eyes dive just a little deeper into the young man's soul after saying this." So I would not if I were you and then from this day forward, you will meet me here in this exact spot and come with an offering every two weeks or I will come and hunt you down. You got that?" she says with her eyes advancing into the deepness of his soul, passing the pressures of his waters.
"Yes- ye- ee--, yes I ge... get it"the man plots the woman to her feet and scrambles and falls apart like broken glass. Viciously tearing through his pockets in combination of fear and hopes to please this woman. However, as he reaches into his pocket his spirit is interrupted with an inner earthquake. The boy is unable to think straight, purely moving off of fear and is trembling in his own emotion. But, luckily he's able to take out his Loney (currency) and starts to hand it to the old woman with a quivering palm. Out of nowhere a change occurs.
To the left of the old woman and to the right of the young man there is a building. The robber and the young boy are found in the pathway of these series of buildings that lie parallel to each other, door facing door. Underneath the shadow of the building to the woman's left and to the young boys right, is a trash can that is to coincidentally placed.
This is the disturbance.
Right as the young boy musters the courage to hand the woman his offering, the mysterious trashcan begins to vibrate. The woman's eyes fall on to the can and compress. At the exact same instantly woman's head snaps towards the same direction. What the heck is going on here? She thinks absorbed in surprise.
Following this notification the trashcan starts to flicker, on and off shining even through the metal. The glowing finally stabilizes as a mauve red light. What on Earth is this woman? How many tricks does she have down her sleeve? Young man's mind runs wild for answers.
BAM! BAM! Out of nowhere the lid of the garbage can comes flying off, as if it was thrown. The lid flies towards the old woman's face. The woman's eyes shrink in fear but our spirit is not backed into reality and her reflexes kick in. She dodges the lid like it was nothing.
The boy is left even more confused which turns into more terror. So it did not come from her? What is going on here?
His thoughts are flying along with the Mist in the air from the trashcan's eruption.
BOOM! From the mist comes a sound that shakes the hearts of the robber and the robbie.
"What the--"the young man flusters the words out but is not able to finish because he is consumed by an influx of emotion.
The mist begins to part, slowly returning to its invisible state. The shadow of a person appears.
The young boy is left speechless as he begins to see the actual person. This is too good to be true. Right after that occurs in his head the old woman completely snaps back into it and viciously snatches Loney out of his hand, but her swift escape plan is interrupted by a voice.
"Hey, thief woman." the Mist is now completely evaporated. The man in the shadows is now visible, The voice belongs to him.
"What do you want from me?" the woman replies angrily and attempts to play innocent and weak.
"You're old enough to be my grandmother."the man says confidently.
The man wears a mint green dashiki with a rectangular pattern along the borders, such as the neck, arms lower body of the shirt, the pattern also circles along the edges of these rectangles, the accented color of the pattern is mango gold. The man also wears long combat shorts that reach far beyond his knees, they are too mango gold with large semi oval like pockets that are mint green. There is a rectangular pattern on the end of the shorts that is also mango gold. The mystery man wears plain black shoes, his face is not visible. The man wears a hood that follows the same color and pattern scheme as the shirt. He wears thick rectangular glasses that are also, mango gold and cover his eyes and nose. The man's mouth is left visible through he's smiling.
"Aw, hasn't your mother taught you that it's impolite to assume a woman's age?" the old woman says with a cunning smirk, gripping the Loney." Especially when you've just come out of a trash can."
"Nope, she never really got around to that but I'm sure she would be pleased with my entrance." the man in the hood smirks.
"Cut the mocking, kid. What do you want from me and who are you?" she says tightening her face, seeming to have lost amusement.
The boy in the hood smiles bigger and says "You can call me, the Hooded Matter, and I want you to give that boy back his Loney."
"Hahahaha"a woman laughs hysterically at the sound of this." You have got to be one mophead to think that I would give you this boy back the Loney I worked so hard to steal, Hooded Mophead."she continues to chuckle.
"Well suit yourself, I guess I'm just going to have to take it back myself then, grandma." he says continuing to tease the woman and stares deeply into those vicious grey eyes.
The older woman chuckles once more and no response to listen fixes her lips to speak. "Do you really think you of all people can beat me, I've heard stories about you young Mopboy and I am telling you now you will not fare well against me."
The young boy besides her starts to feel a heart-wrenching rush of learning compassion and shouts at the Hooded Mop head." Just listen to her, please you cannot beat her. There is just something different about her."
The hooded man begins to smile again however, with his teeth this time." Well I've got to try, don't I?"
Foolish Mophead the woman thinks to herself." Come and get it then, mophead."as soon as her lips closed after seeing this her eyebrows crumble into a v-shaped to showcase her anger. She gives the Hooded Mophead an eye that if looks killed he would be six feet under right now. The senile woman swings her arm up to her rigid shoulder in back hands the air.
Following her action, five pellets of ice pellets from a little space between her fingertips and are hurdling in the air towards the Hooded Mophead. As they make their way towards him they are enlarging. Once making it halfway
to him they are full-blown skin cutting icicles.
Oh no the Hooded matter thinks as he almost lets himself slip into the compelling pit of Darkness. But his well is too strong to let him fall. The hooded matter generates a mauve red substance, that appears to be solid, and semi-transparent, it molds into a square like shape. Oh so this is his plan, he uses this solid mauve light as a shield. One by one each rigid icicle hits the shield, however by the third the Hooded Matter begins to come to a struggle holding up , his protection. My number for the struggle comes to its last leg if I cannot hold this I'm done for. Then number 5 comes crushing into his expiring energy shield.
Boom! Cracking this mauve shield, the last icicle hits and the immense pressure from the blow pushes the Hooded matter back into the garbage can. Huh, so much for taking my Loney away from me "I've got some super hero tips for you, mop head."the old woman cocks her hand back and aims it towards the Hooded Mophead's had in fires her final icicle.
The Hooded Matter opens his mouth wide to scream "PHANTOM I NEED YOUR--"out of the pit of darkness, the total of black, dark figure comes crashing down from the top of the building the Hooded Matter is in front of. The dark figure lands right in front of the Hooded Matter. The darkness extends out a hand and in the nick of time slaps the icicle. With unbelievable strength the slap completely changes the direction of the icicle.Yes he's here.
The icicle slams into the wall of the building heavily. This attack was most certainly not meant to stun. The entire wall is shaken, a newfound hole appears that goes completely through the brick. The Hooded matter is left speechless."Tip one, have respect for your elders" the woman teases the Hooded matter and for some reason is not taken off guard by the sudden shape of darkness." Anyway, who's your shadowy friend?"the seniles woman asks nonchalantly.
Straightening its body in beginning to stand up, it is becoming more apparent that this is in fact a human being.
The dark figure takes one step closer to the senile woman. "I'm the one that's going to pry that Loney out of your hand." The figure says dully.
As if she we're screwed out of sleep, a merciless laughter erupts from the sea now woman's mouth. "Haven't you learned anything from your mop head comrade, you should never underestimate an old woman... And if you want this Loney you'll have to catch me first"as soon as she finishes the statement, she spins into a full-fledged sprint, down the pathway abandoning the team of people. The woman is way more agile than she appears.
The Hooded matter turns to the dark human and starts to verbalize his gratitude."Thank you so much Phanto--"however he's cut off in his tracks.
"Just stay out of the way" the dark figure says numbingly, replying to the hooded matter. The dark figure speeds down the pathway and from a normal eye view the dark figures human form the forms and becomes an aura of tracing darkness. Phantom and the senile woman are now out of our line of sight.
Well you know I can't do that, half past midnight the Hooded Matter thinks as he starts to shake himself out of the trash can. In response to the Hooded Matter sudden movement, the almost forgotten young man awakens from his fear paralysis. The young man cannot wait, he straight away runs from the Hooded Matter in the opposite direction of the women and the Phantom." Hey! Where are you going? I might be able to get you your Loney back exclamation"the Hooded Matter shouts to him but, he is already in a full-blown run and is unable to hear. I'll just find him if I get it, the Hooded Matter fully stands up and shoots into a charge
Zooming down the pathway, the Hooded matter is left far behind from the woman and Phantom. Speeding down the main path, the Hooded Matter passes the cities Monument, a huge statue of the emperor and the Royal Family. That jerk he says to himself as he is eyes fall on the focus of the upcoming pathway's hill. Reaching the top, the Hooded Matter able to see the old woman in the close distance. Followed by the shadowlike figure is just a few meters behind. Out of the blue, the woman makes a sharp right and heads down what looks to be an ally.
The Hooded Matter is shocked by this sudden shift and now is desperately trying to revive his sprint down the hill.valright I'm almost th- what the? The Hooded Matter literally just fell flat on his head." Oops, looks like I tripped."this action is able to gather the attention of all of the people within range. Oh no, the Hooded Matter is drowning... In a sea of laughter and embarrassment.
The Hooded Matter regroups himself and is now back on his feet. He pushes closer and sees Phantom head down the same alleyway. Now is our chance, I bet that is a dead end, we've got her, a blast of vibrant wind emerges from the weight of the Hooded Matter's final take off, he claws his way through the multitude and ends up right in front of the strange alleyway.
The alley is a gap in between the two buildings and even though it is the early morning out the alley is still unusually lightless. The Hooded Matter can hardly see a thing provided his tinted mask like glasses. So he runs down until he reaches the end. A solid black wall appears in front of him.
"Looks like I was right. This is a dead end."Hooded matter speaks out loud patting himself on the back. However there is one thing that is still haunting his mind but where did they go? I know I saw them come down this --
"Looks like you were wrong about something else though." says a familiar voice coming from above.
The Hooded Matter quickly turned away from the wall and rotates his body into a full 180 facing the direction in which he came. The Hooded Matter is taken off guard.
Unforseenly, a figure shielded by the cloak of darkness jumps off a window seal and landed directly in front of the Hooded Matter." You see little mop head, hair step number two..."full of surprises, for icicles the size of human foot, hurdling at the Hooded Matter. There is no one here to save him this time.
Finally each icicle hit to one by one. Each miss his body but pierces through his clothing. The momentum of the blast horses the hooded matter back slamming his body into the wall. BANG! The Hooded Matter is now nailed to the wall. "Ahhh" the pain swallows him in.
"...No not everything looks as it seems and there is no such thing as loyalty."
"What are you talking about. Loyalty doesn't exist?"the Hooded Matter screams back full of will. Not knowing how he's going to get out of this it slaps him in the face. Phantom "Phantom will show you a true partnership's loyalty when he gets here"
"Oh really? Well Phantom why don't you show him the hand of betrayal."the woman in the dark says with a smuggy laugh.
The dark shadow around the alley begins to lighten up and light is allowed in. The darkness concentrates in the empty space between the woman and the Hooded Matter.
"I told you to stay out of the way." Phantoms deep voice cracks in two the Hooded matters heart.
"What- Phantom what are you saying?"the Hooded Matter yells at Phantom.
"You see I told you, you wouldn't get this Loney" the woman takes out the paper bills and waves them in the air and guess what, I have another surprise for you."
"Shut up! Phantom tell her that she's wrong!"the Hooded Matter screams but Phantom just stands there quiet as his wordless response.
The senile woman begins to softly chuckle "How rude? To cut a woman off like that. Anyways, I was going to tell you that our little chase alerted the local officers."
"What?"the Hooded Matter interrupts.
"Cutting me off again, huh? Anyways all I'm saying is I know you're pretty wanted by them. So you better hope someone saves you before they find you, super mop head!"the senile woman laughs a little too hard this time for it to be her own joke." anyways Phantom let's go"she continues.
"No, no, no... No!" the Hooded Matter screams again alerting out of alley attention to himself. " Phantom how could you?" Phantom remained silent and the old woman continues her laughter. Phantom stretches out cloak of darkness over the two of them and in the matter of seconds could two of them are no longer visible, no longer present.
Why did this happen? How could he do this? After working together for so long. He just left me here." Ugh, PHANTOM!"
The Hooded Matter calls out causing a vibration in the ice that is being used to trap him, he is still in disbelief however he has to swallow it.I can't do all about this forever. I've got to figure out a way to get out of here before-- this thought is abruptly interrupted.
"Hey! Who's down there?" Someone calls out in the distance in the dimmed the light. Go ahead and the Hooded Matter doesn't bulge to his temptation to call back out to The Voice. "Hey I know you're down here. If you wanted it to be sneakyyou shouldn't have screamed so loud"The Voice calls out again as it approaches closer.
"Tip Tap Tip Tap"the sound of the voices footsteps are heavily approaching the Hooded Matter. As the person comes closer there is a beam of light that reflects in the Hooded Matter's eyes.
The Hooded Matter's eyes begin to focus on the beam of light and he then realizes it's a badge.
"Hey, Squad!" the voice is no longer moving due to the fact that he is directly in front of the Hooded Matter now and seems to notice him. "Ready the handclaps, we found the one we're looking for!" the man shouts out the alley to notify his team and looks the Hooded Matter right into the mask.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa officer I think you got the wrong guy."the Hooded Matter shoots the man a white washed teeth showing grin." The true culprit went that way" as he points out of the dimmed mini Valley, with his chin that's partnered with his grin trying to charm the badged man. However, his Charming skills are not seeming to work for him this time. The badge to man shoots back a granite that lights up the valley." The man we're after is actually this way." the man sasses Hood and points to him with his chin." Boy I'm eating good tonight..."the man continues with the Sass and confusion swarms Hood's mind like honey bees to its comb." Because you are under arrest."
"What? What do you mean?" the Hooded matter shouts and interrupts questioning everything inside and out.
The man rips the rest of this hanging band aid off at once. "You are going to our highest prison, Hooded Matter."
