Pov: Arabella
The sun illuminates the surface of the Earth, hauling the twilight to radiance. However, now the sun stands tall in its third-quarter, far from the sky's center. Along with it's light though, the sun's subject also cast a shadow. A shadow from a higher vantage point lands in Arabella's room.
Arabella stands in front of a window welling in curiosity.
"You can't even see the outside world through that Palace, can you?" The Familiar voice Echoes starting from the door of the room to Arabella's placement. However Arabella knows it is Irma.
"Nope that stupid building alway blocks my view, I can't see anything." Arabella says partnered with a sigh that expresses her loss of hope.
Irma draws closer and closer to Arabella until she comes to a complete stop resting her hand on Arabella's shoulder.
"Don't you worry, one day you'll be able to get out of here. To see the world and I can't wait to watch you start your journey." Irma rubs her back and throws her a smile.
Arabella mirrors the smile but her eyes shift down.
"But, Miss Irma won't you come with me?" she begs.
Irma laughs a little at her kindness and replies "You know I would love to, but I want to see you experience these things on your own, with your own friends and--"
"I'd love that, I'd really love love that but I won't leave without you. "Arabella interrupts to declare.
Irma touches Arabella's head. "Don't be silly, princess. I've had my time to explore the world, I'm 62 you know I'm not getting any younger."
Arabella looks to her speechless and still filled with sadness. I'll repay you one day, I promise Arabella thinks as she continues to look outside of her palace's window.
"Anyways, princess will you follow me to your mirror?" Irma asks lightening the mood.
"Sure." Arabella replies almost completely hiding her previous depression with a sparkle of excitement.
Irma walks over to the princess' surprisingly plain mirror. Arabella follows her lead however, stands in front of Irma.
"I've always wanted to try this with your hair, princess." Irma says as she grabs the ends of the princess' golden hair. Irma's fingers twists and turns along with the hair and molds the left side into completion.
"It's a braid! Wow, I love it!" Arabella says with a swarm of enthusiasm.
"I just knew you would love it, and I think you might need them soon." Irma says.
"Wait! Soon? What do you mean?" Arabella asks curiously with a hint of confusion.
Irma laughs again and continues."Let me do the other side, princess."she says fully ignoring Arabella's question.
"Sure" Arabella agrees in turns her neck a little so Irma can get the right side. Arma repeats the same process she had done on the left, to the right. Irma does this until she notices something different about the princess.
A heart choking care was on its way down Arabella's cheek. The wet, glossy symbol of flustered emotion alarms, but does not worry her.
"Princess, you make me so proud, you know." Irma says as she goes further down the braid.
Arabella says nothing as a reply. She is breathless, choked up with tears. All together the tears of a tiger come raining down.
"Through my entire life... I've only met a few people who would do something so brave for me or anyone for that matter." Irma struggles, claws, in fights with it but the tear that was held hostage manages to escape her eye and comes crashing down in a slow motion. Her voice weakens but she continues "Arabella don't you ever change."
As Irma finishes her last words she also finishes the braids. Arabella's tears and future worries how far past their apex and the young princess' bravery returns "I never will!" she's out firmly and does not realize how loud she is.
"Good" Irma says paired with a warming smile." By the way I love that dress." Irma says referring to Arabella's newly put on dress. Arabella Now where's in ocean, brine blue dress with overall straps. The skirt part of the dress falls a little distance above her knee. She also wears a paper white legging underneath her dress to partner with her paper white T-shirt she wears underneath her overall strop's. Arabella may be wearing a dress but she knows that it is far from girly, and a mile away from fancy.
"Really? I didn't want to wear a dress To go to the dungeon so I just put on my sparring gear." Arabella replies welly engaged.
"Well I think it looks great, princess especially on you"Irma insists.
"Miss Irma, I have a question" Arabella informs.
"Oh really what is it?" Irma answers
"What exactly is the outside like?"Arabella asks with a huge spark of curiosity.
"Well, it's--" as Irma begins to answer the question Arabella has presented, she's interrupted by a presence.
In the doorway stands a boy wearing all black. "Princess Arabella" the strange person in black starts "I was sent here to retrieve you."
Arabella looks in the mirror at her newly braided ponytails and admires them once more. She turns her head to Irma and their eyes meet "Thank you, Miss Irma"she says with a warm passionate smile.
"No, thank you Princess." Irma says wiping the proud tear from her own face.
Arabella walks to the doorway and stops in front of the boy. The boy who wears all black has soft pale skin with calm eyes. His eyes are accompanied with two bangs parallel to each other Landing in the corner of his eyes, which falls into Arabella's cordial eyes.
"I'm ready, Vanta." Arabella says to the boy with a peaceful mindset Arabella stretches her two arms out and Vanta which is over to grab them. Vanta places handclaps on to Arabella's arms and begins to walk out with her. As the door comes to a close behind Arabella, she looks one last time into Irma's eyes and they both trade a heartwarming smile.
"Princess Arabella..." Vanta starts.
"Yes?"Arabella replies and confusion.
"I'm taking you to the palace's highest dungeon."
