It was time and she hadn't even had time to say goodbye
She saw familiar lightning forming in the hands of her mentor, if she could even call him that. There were only two options, ignore or kill and she already knew which one she would choose, it was after all her fault that this was even happening.
He would probably be shocked and later disappointed when he saw her.
Ignoring the old geezer behind her she forced chakra to her legs and threw herself at an amazing speed between her mentor and his prey.
Finally she could be free
Feeling the agonizing pain in her abdomen she genuinely smiled for the first time in forever and probably the last time.
"I'm sorry Kakashi, but I can't let him die"
He would have done the same thing in her shoes.
