"Don't worry Uris, I can take care of myself. I'm not that broken, not yet at least."

After biking for about a mile, Adeline and Eddie made it to the large lake, noticing that all of the boys were already there. They we're in a circle talking about something and as Addie approached, she heard the end of Stan's sentence.
"Just because we talk a lot doesn't mean I like-" Stan cut off his sentence as he saw Eddie and Addie approaching their group.
"Hey guys." Addie spoke and gave them a little smile. Stan looked at her intently, scared that she heard what he and the boys were talking about.
"Finally!" Richie shouted. "Took you guys long e-fucking-nough. Can we jump now Bill?" Bill gave a curt nod and the boys started stripping.
Addie hesitantly started reaching for the end of her shirt, pulling it over her head and then removed her shorts. Richie went to look over at her with a smirk but once her reached her body his eyes widened. "Woah."
The rest of the group looked over at Addie and they all had the same reaction as Richie. Addie has bruises and small cuts all over her body. The cut that Henry made on her left arm had just started to heal over and there were hand shapes bruises on her arms and thighs from the boys holding her against they wall.
"Don't fucking look at me like that." Addie hissed. "I'm not some stupid charity case. I know I look like shit but I'm dealing with it on my own." The boys quickly looked away, not wanting to make the girl more upset then she already was.
Stan moved over to her and grabbed a spot on her arm that wasn't injured. He gently pulled her over to a spot far from the other losers so he could speak to her without the other losers listening.
"Are you sure your okay Addie? I know that you don't want to talk about it but I'm worried." Stanley's face was contorted with a pained look. It hurt him to know Addie was hurting.
Addie grabbed his hand and spoke. "Don't worry Uris, I can take care of myself. I'm not that broken, not yet at least." Addie's words were sincere. She didn't want other people looking after her, she could do that for herself. But having Stanley being so worried for her made her hart hurt. Someone really did care about her.
"Okay." Stanley nodded his head at her answer. The two walked back over to the group, there hands still intertwined. The rest of the boys were standing at the edge of the cliff, Addie and Stan fell in line next to them.
The boys all started to hack loogies and Addie looked over at them as they did, doing the same once she realized what was happening. The group went one at a time, each spitting their loogie over the edge of the cliff and into the water below.
