I began to pant as we ran. How long had we been running? Five minutes? Ten? At this point, did time even exist in here? "Does this thing end?!" I thought out loud. Asher shrugged, being right next to me. "It doesn't matter, so long as she doesn't try to pull any of that again!"
Alex scoffed, and I felt little droplets of spit fly onto the back of my neck. I'd be a hypocrite to point it out though.  "Of course it ends. There are things that go without ending, but none of those things can be made simply by a human being."
I frowned. Human being? Did she say human being? "Isn't it human bean?"
I heard her snort. "Are you stupid?"
"What's a bean?" Asher mumbled as we ran.
"Seriously?" I panted, looking at him. "You guys don't have beans?"
"What's a bean?!" He asked, sounding more than confused.
"That isn't important!" Alex hissed, her voice starting to get breathless. "We need to figure a way out of here."
"Well how do you think we're supposed to do that? Huh? B'cause I'm not seeing any way out of here! In fact, I don't even see anything." I spat, my legs slowing down against my will.
"Yeah, it's dark in here." Asher commented.
I rolled my eyes. "No dip!"
Alex growled, beginning to pant. "If you two don't shut your mouths..." she threatened.

Asher was still running fast and hard, and I struggled to keep up. I watched as Alex ran in front of me, seeming like she was going to die of exhaustion soon. Just then, my life flashed before my eyes. My tired foot skipped a step, and my whole body went with it. I let out a scream as I began tumbling down the stairway. Asher gasped. "Kai! What're you doing?!"
I heard the sound of someone being slapped. "What does it look like she's doing, fool?" I heard Alex growl.
I grunted in pain as my elbow connected with the edge of one of the steps after I'd tried to stop myself, and Asher and Alex's bickering didn't exactly ease my pain. I felt carsick, like I was about to puke. I couldn't stop myself, so I closed my eyes and let it happen. I tried my very best to stay calm. One, two, three... I counted in my head, trying not to die.

Finally, I rolled onto a cold flat surface. It felt like stone under my fairly thin shirt. Once I had thought it was over, something somewhat light fell onto me. "Alex, get off me." I grunted, trying to get her away as I squirmed. Her breath didn't smell too bad, actually. But I still didn't like it. "Sorry." I heard Asher's voice say right next to my ear, causing my eyes to widen. "You're light for a guy." I murmured, my voice strained. "Thanks?" He replied, rolling off me and onto his back, letting out a huff of air. I sat up, grunting as I wrapped an arm around my stomach. "Where's Alex?" I asked.
"Right here." She said from behind me, causing me to jump.

I shakily got up, throwing my arms out to make sure I didn't fall. Two purple eyes stared at me without blinking. I frowned and looked around, not noticing two blue eyes. "Asher." I waited for a reply. Nothing. "Asher?" I said again, this time in more of a questioning tone. Still nothing. "Asher!" I loudly called out, the darkness blinding me.
Alex tightly grabbed my shoulder. "Asher isn't here." She said in a low and quiet tone, which scared me.
"Alex, where did he go?" I whispered. "How would I know?" She growled, her voice still low.

I shook my head, afterwards looking around. I frowned, feeling funny. "Alex, something isn't right."
She snorted. "Perhaps it's Asher's sudden disappearance?" She sarcastically answered.
I rolled my eyes and glared at her, straining my neck. "So funny, but now isn't the time for that."
I quickly turned my head back to the stairs as I heard a sound similar to when I'd fallen down them, except for the fact that it sounded slightly more painful due to the cries in pain. After a couple of minutes, I saw four pairs of eyes at my feet. "Purple, red, and two blue," I muttered to myself. "Violet, Amber, Rose and Mason."
