The Party

Travis POV
     "COME ON TRAVIS. HURRY UP!" Seth said. Seth is my B.B. Best Bro. We've known each other since like 3rd grade. We're about to go to an awesome party. You see he's yelling because it's important for me to be there. I'm the popular football star. EVERYONE knows me. And Seth thinks it's his job to uphold my reputation. "ALRIGHT IM COMING!" I yell. "I'm driving" Said Seth . "I hope Katie's there tonight." He daydreamed. "Your STILL into her?! She's been your crush since like 4th grade. Just face it dude she's intoLeo ."Katie is Seth's practically dream wife. He's liked her for as long as I can remember. But she "broke" his heart by confessing to Leo . He's one of my football buds. "Alright we're here." He pulls up to Leo drive way. Oh and did I mention Leo party? We walk in and ALL I can see is this girl in a beautiful red dress.
Gracelyn's POV
     We walk in a little early. There's only like 5 people here. But a party is a party. This is Leo Michels party. He VERY popular. And I know what your thinking, how could a nerd like you get invited to a party like his? Well it's simple, and sorta sad. You see when Katie got invited to his end of summer party, (obviously she was) she was allowed to bring someone. And as her bff she forced me. I know, "forced?" Yes, forced. I am NOT a party person. But some how she convinced me. She ALWAYS convinces me. When she got me ready I felt like a whole new person. I was confident. Especially when I walked in that house.
Katie's POV
I knew Gracelyn wasn't going to be ready for this party. She used to be bullied. A LOT! She was named gummy Grace just because she had a pack of gummy bears every day in her lunch. Nobody liked her accept for me. But, I was a nobody too. So I brought a little surprise for her. When my mom past away, she left me with a gorgeous red dress. Gracelyn was the only friend I ever made. She came over all the time. She was,and is, my sister. So in honor of her first actual party I decided to make her a new her. When we finally got there it was WAY early. Like 30 mins later people finally started to arrive. It went pretty fast because all I was doing was trying to get Leo attention. Which didn't end badly.
Travis POV
She is so gorgeous. She must be new. "Hey." I say. "Umm hey?" She seems confused. "Wait you look familiar?" I recognize her a little bit. "It's me." I wait confused. "Gracelyn." "Umm." It's coming to me slightly. "Oh my gosh",she rolls her eyes, "Gummy Grace!" It comes to me. I can't believe it! "OH! Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." She looks away awkwardly. She seems mad. "Ummm, how was your summer. You seem... thinner." "Seriously??" Ok now she's mad. "Sly Travis, real sly. 🙄" And She storms off. "Hahahahaha! That was priceless man. Round of applause!" In the corner watching that whole thing is Leo. "I can't believe she lost that much weight over summer either. She's pretty hot now." "Yeah? She is." I realize.
Gracelyn's POV
I'm just minding my own business when Travis comes up to me. He acts like he doesn't even know me. I figure it's a stupid prank. When I finally tell him the ol- "gummy Grace" name and he remembers. Then, like an idiot, he says I look thinner! I need to find Katie. She finds Katie but hanging out with Travis. Huh? Darn it I can't bother her now. She's been waiting forever to get Travis to just talk to her. Guess I'm stuck in the awkward corner.
Katie's POV
     So I look over and I see Gracie talking to Travis. I didn't know she had a thing for him. But honestly they'd make a cute couple. Still Travis is dumb and childish. But for her I guess he's cute. And athletic. "Hey. Glad you came." All of a sudden Leo is talking to me! Ok play it cool. "Oh, hey. No prob." I say slyly. "How ya liking it so far?" He asks. Ugh he's so cute. FOCUS. "It's good. Kinda not one for crowded people though." It's true a crowd always gets me tense. "Oh. Well.. I know a quieter place." His voice is sooo dreamy. But I can't get in trouble tonight. Dad expects me home by 11:30. "Intriguing, but I'll pass." "You sure? It'll be nice to get away from the crowd." He convinces me. "Fine."
Travis POV
I feel terrible about Grace. She's really cute. And nice. Wait...do I like Gracelyn? Oh! There she is! "Hey! Gracelyn!" I wave. "Oh. What do you want?" She says annoyingly. "Look, I'm sorry. I should've been more considerate." She gives me the eyebrow raise. "And why would you apologize.. no why are you even talking to me. I'm an OUTCAST remember?" "Well... your a cute outcast.."
