The passionate gust of the wind made my hair lift into a dance. If my hair could pick a music to match our approaching battle, it would definitely choose the song Teeth by 5 Seconds of Summer.

"We're finally here." I could see Dior's anger with her dagger look.

Around the Thorned Castle, I spotted some soaring creatures. The distance didn't hinder me from identifying them.

"Revenants," said Harris. "They are guarding the castle."

"Seems they've been expecting us to come." I glared.

"We need to take off first. They might see us," Franco suggested.

"It's too late," I said. "We need to face them now."

Anger and fear drained out of me and turned into courage. The Revenants headed towards us as soon as they had a glimpse of us. They were riding with flying skateboard while holding their laser sword like the ones I had seen in the Star Wars movies.

"It's time to flex our weapon." Franco curled his mouth, gripping his scimitar with his left hand. I knew it was random and out of nowhere, but –Franco was left-handed.

I slowly took the alexandrite from my back, preparing myself for an actual fight. I clenched the lead line of my alicorn. It began trotting in the air as I pushed the stirrups gently.

"This is it!" I tried not to show my emotion because I might lose control. There were many things running through my mind, but the only thing that kept me going was the desire to save our parents. Nothing was more horrifying than thinking your mom might die any moment.

"Let's go!" Harris shouted.

With his alicorn, he led the way to fight against the approaching Revenants. He took his eternal sword from his waist and prepared to make red-people-barbeques.

Our weapons began clashing. The air, which would normally be rich with peaceful clouds, was now deafening loud with collision and groaning. I felt the throb of my heart as my whole body trembled. My insides were torned between fear and rage, but the picture of our parents chained up inside the Thorned Castle gave me the strength that I need.

"Charlie, behind you!" Dawn screamed.

I struck my sword behind me and was able to hit one of the Revenants, but I knew it didn't cause much injury.

"Thanks." I smiled. I noticed the shiny thing that came out of Dawn's pocket. It looked like the silver powder from the map compact.

"Charlie, watch out!" Diordin yelled. It snapped me that made me bend my body and dodge the attack from our enemy. I kicked the Revenant, and it propelled down into the forest. I didn't prepare to release much energy from kicking, but the anger dominated me, which made me strong enough.

Our battle against the Revenant continued. Hitting them gave me a feeling like I was murdering a stuff toy. They had no reaction at all. I couldn't even hear their voices in pain. Probably because they already died as elves and reborn as Revenants. I could only hear the wings of the alicorns, the strong wind, and the sound of our clashing weapons.

"Agghhh!" Franco groaned.

I rushed over to help him after seeing blood all over his right arm. Strong gust of wind pushed me to attack the Revenant who hit my friend. I sliced its silver mask like a meatloaf and it disappeared with a whorl of smoke. It seemed the wind gave me the idea of how to destroy our opponents.

"What just happened?" Franco asked.

"Now I know how to beat them." I smiled. "Guys!!!" I shouted, wasn't sure if the others heard me. "Strike them on their mask. It's their weakness!"
