chapter 2 (part 2)

Kayla's pov
Aspen joining us.... no no no... I thought to myself .... ugh I'll just have to let it happen and try to enjoy my day..  we rode all kinds of rides and went on the beach and jack and I walked off from the 3 others. We sat on the edge of the piere and watched the waves crash onto shore and the moon glistened off the water... it was beautiful the lights off of everything made everything look so much better.... just thinking of leaving this place makes me sad.

Jack grabbed my hand and I looked at him and just smiled and layed my head on his shoulder and he layed his head on mine. It was totally a tumbler moment until aspen comes up and sits right by Jack and puts her head on his shoulder . I got up and walked off... I was done.. I knew she liked jack... I went to go find kat and zach until I get a notification on my phone from a friend of mine of a fan account it was a picture of jack and ASPEN!!!! I wanted to throw my phone at aspens face !

I found Kat and zach and they both looked worried .I should them the post. They both just grabbed my hand and took me to the car. We got in and talked about what happened. Zach went to go talk to jack.

I got so upset I didn't want to see him we grabbed our stuff and kat texted zach that we were taking an uber back to the why don't we house. We got there and I had to inside to grab a bag of mine and kats and I had just stopped crying but my eyes were all red and Daniel saw me and said "kayla , what's wrong?  Have you been crying?" "Ya, I have." I said back sniffing. I showed him the pic. "Did this happen at your guys date tonight?" Daniel asked. "Ya it did" I said back.

He pulled me into a hug and I started crying again ... he just let me cry on his shoulders..  then zach and jack walked in the door. I stopped crying. And I hugged Daniel and turned around. I saw jack and his eyes were red too... he walked up to me and grabbed my hand. "Kayla, I love you . And only you. I know it's impossible to love you with the time we've known eachother. But I know it's true. Your the one and only girl I want and this picture with aspen is nothing. She tried and I shut her down and I went to go after you but She threatened my career but I didn't care because that's how much I care about you. I rushed here as fast as I could. You make me happy. You make me smile and laugh. I love you." Jack said. It was quiet for a moment as I looked in his eyes. "Please say something" jack said.
" I love you too, jack. I'm sorry but I don't think we can be together because I don't want you to throw away together.  So if I really love you... I have to set you free." I said as I tear rolled down my check. " Kayla, please don't do this." Jack said with a teat rolling down his cheek. " I love you jack avery, never forget that." I said.
I leaned in and he leaned into and our lips meant. His soft lips felt amazing moving in sync with mine. I pulled away and hugged him one last time. One last tear slipped out of the corner of my eye and he hugged me so tight. I pulled away and he grabbed my hand and I slowly left his hand and walked out. I opened the car door and sat in my car. I just balled my eyes out on the steering wheel.

I had to let him go. No matter how much it hurt. He needed to live his life and have an amazing career. He's the love of my life and if I truly love him I have to do this.

I stopped crying and plugged my phone into the car charger... Kat took her car and left after saying goodbye to zach.  I plugged in some music and was driving home. I arrived home and I went to my room and plugged my phone in and changed into some comfy white shorts and a big sweatshirt. I drifted to sleep.

*THE NEXT DAY*

I woke up and my eyes hurt. I rolled over and looked at my phone I had like 400 texts.

I called Daniel.
{The call}
[D-daniel, m-me]
M-"hello?"
D-"Kayla thank god you answered.  It's jack he needs you. Come to the house please . It's an emergency. I have to go."
M-"d-d-an...."
[End of call]
I put on some ripped jeans and a sweatshirt and grabbed my keys and my phone and jumped in my car and drove to their house as fast as I could.

I arrived at the why don't we house and ran in there. " DANIEL , CORBYN WHAT'S THE EMERGENCY ?!?!" I said so scared.
I ran into Jacks room. They were all standing around him... he had an arm in a sling and a black eye and a few cuts on his face. I went by him and sat on the bed. "What happened? "I asked as my eyes started to water.

Zach spoke up and said " he went out last night to go to your place to find you and make sure you were okay. And he was 10 minutes away and got in a car crash somebody nailed his car and it flipped 2 times.
His arm Is broke and the glass cut him up a bit and he hit the wheel before the airbag came out and he got a Black eye. He should wake up here soon and we wanted him to see us all here for him."

I took Jacks hand. I held it tight and waited for him to wake up. Jack started moving and slowly opened his eyes... "Kayla" he said barely. "Shhh , I'm here it's okay" I said.  He smiled and with his other not broke arm he pulled me down to lay next to him . The rest of the boys said they loved him and walked out to give us space.
" Kayla, I'm so..." jack went to say sorry but I cut him off. "Jack, I love you, and you don't have to say your sorry. I'm here and I'm never leaving." I said as a tear slipped out of the corner of my eye. He  smiled and hugged me and I just layed my head on his chest and we drifted off into a sleep....

I woke up next to jack... I went to go talk to the boys. I quietly got up not waking him and left the room quietly as he needs his rest.

I sat on the couch and put my head on Jonahs shoulder. He put his arm around me and we just sat there and then I spoke up " thank you guys for getting me here. Jack could have died last night which reminded me that we could all go at any moment and I need to be more appreciative about the things I am grateful for and have."
"Aw we love you ,kayla" we all had a group hug and sat back down.

After about 3 hours I decided to check on jack. I opened the door and jack was on his phone facetiming his mom and sisters.

"Hey guys, wanna say hi to kayla?" Jack asked them.
"Yes" Isla yelled.
He motioned me over. I sat on the bed and said "hi, guys"

"Your so pretty !" Isla yelled. "Aw thanks but your so much prettier" I said back and she just smiled. And jack said "she is right you know, your beautiful" he sat up and kissed my cheek.
"Aww" they all said.
I just smiled.
"Well jack we have to go , and kayla please watch him and keep an eye on him for me. I love you guys." Jack's mom said.
"Will do , Mrs. Avery. Byee, guys" I said. And jack said " byee, I love you guys." And that was the end.

" your family is so sweet" i said and looked at him.  " aww just liked you " jack said I smiled and he put his hand on my face and I layed down next to him and he said "kayla, guess what?"
"What?" I said . "I love you" jack said and he kissed me and it was so soft.

I looked at my phone. I got a text from Kat. "Hey I'm coming over to the wdw house. Want food?"

I texted her and told her what I wanted she soon arrived and we all sat on the couch all 7 of us. We all ate and zach and kat were being all cute... "COUPLE GOALS" I yelled at them . And everyone laughed and kat just grabbed a pillow and chucked it at me and since I was laying on Jacks chest with my knees up it bounced off me and hit him. I couldn't help but laugh at him. " try that again , kat. We will have problems" jack said laughing.
I just rolled my eyes playfully.  Everything was good again. I was truly happy... I love all of them.
