at school, math in library.
"can i go get my social studies? i finished the test." i ask, ready to leave the library. i notice him staring at me from across the room, a grin on his face when we lock eyes. i smile back but then quickly return my gaze to the teacher who hums in response, focused on her computer. i begin to walk out, waving my hand at him to tell him to come with.
slipping around the corner, i watch him ask the distracted woman the same question i had asked just moments before and celebrate in my head when he begins skipping towards me.
the hallways were partially empty, aside from a few wandering students here and there. we walked close by each other, our arms brushing against each others as we walked.
when we got into the classroom, we went to our separate sides of the room to get our belongings. as i walk across the room, i stare at him, watching his movements. reaching his desk, i set my stuff down. he looks at me in confusion as i grab his stuff, setting it down as well. he swallows hard, his adams apple making his nervousness very evident.
i grab the bottom of his chin gently with three of my fingers and kiss him. he opens his mouth slightly in surprise, giving me the idea to bite his lip. softly, i grab his bottom lip between my teeth and suck on it, not letting go for a while.
after the magical kiss is broken, we just stare at each other, a faint smile appearing on his lips.
looking down at my wrist, he spots the sunflower i had drawn earlier while waiting for my test score.
"what is it with you and sunflowers?" he asks. i point to the field of yellow outside. "sunflowers worship the sun," i tell him. "only when it arrives do they rise. when the sun leaves, they bow their heads in mourning. that is what the sun does to those flowers. it's what you do to me."
he hums in response, grabbing me by my waist and kissing me again, this time swiping his tongue across my white teeth, asking for access.
granting it, i slip my tongue out of my mouth and circle it around his. we play around for a while, our tongues dancing in the shared dna. thinking that things were gonna get suspicious, we broke away and rushed back to the library.
and that is how i fell in love.
