"Ikaw, Alden? Anong wish mo ngayong pasko?"

"Kaligayahan"

He recalls while sitting in one of the chairs at their standby area. He fished out his phone and stares at it. That was he looked like when they came.

"Miss mo na 'no?" Wally asked him. Looking at his phone to see their bunso's photo flashing at the screen.

"Okay lang yan, Den. Nagpapahinga lang yun." Said Paolo, who sat at the chair across from him.

He sighed. Of course he knows it. It's just that...

"Alam ko naman, Kuya Pao. Kaso wala eh, namimiss ko na. Ang hirap pala."

"Ganyan talaga, brad. Nakasanayan mong laging kasama eh." Jose said, while patting Alden's shoulder. "Pero alam mong kailangan nya yun."

"Opo naman. Naiintindihan ko naman po. Natatakot kang ako." He sighed.

"Saan ka takot?" Paolo asked while looking at him.

"Natatakot ako kasi baka mapagod na ng tuluyan. Umalis for good. Iwanan ang showbiz. Baka... baka pati ako iwanan." He gripped his phone a little too tight. Panic, pain ang agitation written all over his face.

Wally, who didn't leave his side, put his arm around Alden's shoulder, patting it lightly.

"Parang di mo naman kilala si Meng, Alden. Mapapagod yun pero hindi yun aalis. Mahal nya 'to eh. Mahal nya 'tong ginagawa nya, itong EB, yung mga dabarkads. Lalong lalo na, mahal ka nun. Wag mong iisipin na iiwan ka nya."

Then Jose asked, "Ano ngang tanong sayo ni Tito Sen? Anong wish mo ngayong pasko?"

"Opo. Yan po."

"Tapos ang sagot mo?"

"Kaligayahan po."

"Ayun. Kaligayahan. Yung kaligayahan mo, ayun, nagpapahinga, inaayos yung sarili para pagbalik nya sayo, buo na sya ulit. Kaya brad, hintay ka lang. Magiging ayos din ang lahat. Nahintay mo nga sya ng higit isang taon diba? Ngayon ka pa ba mapapagod maghintay matapos ang lahat? Wag ganon uy." Jose said then lightly punch Alden's arms which made the latter smile.

"Tsaka friends? Wag kame huy. Kung magharutan kayo dito parang wala kaming mga kuya nyo tapos 'friends'. Utot nyo." Wally teased that made Alden laughed.
The three kuyas smiled. They won't say it out loud but they missed that laugh.

"Tsaka, Den. Nakaready pa rin yung mga damit namin in case na magpakasal kayo bigla pagbalik na pagbalik nya. Ganun ka kahayok matali kay Menggay eh." Paolo said.

And with that, they all laughed in unison. Because they know that this is just a phase. A rocky road they must face before going to the steady path that will lead them to their and everyone's dream- forever.
