I was just getting up in the morning to make my tea, for it was the early hour of seven thirty, when I heard a faint knock on the door. To my surprise when I went to investigate that very lock I opened the door to find a fairly dishevelled girl. She was covered in dirt and when she shakily looked up at me, I could see dark purple circles under her eyes, as if she hadn't slept in weeks.
Immediately without a second thought I held her up so she could stand, for she looked as if she was going to faint, and I swear there was someone else behind her, but when I looked again that mysterious someone was gone.We both stumbled in the door and I had her use my shower to wash off the dirt, only after she walked out could I tell her hair was the same colour as mine, bright happy pink. I lent her some of my clothes which was a little tricky because she was a couple grades ahead of me.
When we got out into the main living room I sat her down in a big comfy chair and we began to chat."I can't thank you enough for all that you've done to nurse me back to health mademoiselle."
Her voice was regal and soft, a practiced voice, and "mademoiselle," that's something I've never been called before."Please I was just doing what's right, and you don't have to call me mademoiselle, I'm not your grandmother," I giggled, "my names Piengi."
"I see, a pleasure to make your acquaintance Ms. Piengi, my name's Sukoshi Amory, but please call me Sheila.""Neat name," I said going to make some tea for her. "So what happened to you that made you look near death?" I asked, turning my head.
"Well...the problem is, I don't really know, the last thing I remember, I was at one of my pageants receiving my ribbons and the next time I opened my eyes to a smelly street alley," she babbled looking utterly confused.
"That sounds pretty tough. By the way, do you go to my school, cause I think I've heard your name somewhere before?"
"Well if you're talking about the Hyacinth school then yes, I've attended there for quite a while."
After that we both had tea and I went to get some cookies. Sheila was introduced to Verre and Kagami who after that went back to arguing over what the best kind of pie is in another room. (By the way, the best kind of pie is strawberry rhubarb, if you were wondering.) I got back to painting and Sheila gathered her things to go."I will never forget the great kindness I received here, some day it would be wonderful if you could come to my house so I may repay you, and please bring as many friends as you please, we'll hold a gala in your honour." She spoke with a big smile on her face.
"Oh it's ok you don't have to go to that much trouble, I really didn't do that much." I said waving my hands.
"Even so, I'd like to have some more friends for a change, It gets dreadfully lonely in my house with no one to talk too."
"Ok then I'll be sure to call you sometime." and with that she was walking down the street out of sight.
Just as I was going to turn back into the house I heard a faint "Thank you" from a voice I had never caught in my ears. I looked around franticly but came to the conclusion it was just my imagination.
