Hong Jisoo, more commonly known as Joshua Hong, was doing his after class routine. Joshua had just left his advanced music class, the third year university student was taking his regular path home in the crisp air of autumn.

Now normally, Seungcheol, his best friend and ex-boyfriend, would join him, but today the older of the two had plans on confessing to another third year student, Doyoon, he thinks, that's probably who Seungcheol was confessing to.

Back to Joshua.

As he neared his apartment complex, he stopped by the small coffee shop that had recently opened up. He pushed the door lightly, a small chime of bells rang from above him, the cool autumn air breezed in as he walked though the door.

The coffee shop was indeed small, but it seemed homey, the neutral colors, the smell of freshly baked goods, along with the sweet and bitter aroma of various coffees and lattes, and other hot served beverages.

Joshua stood in line, his eyes scanning through the large chalkboard menu above the mahogany counter. French Vanilla? Americano? He always had a debate between the two when ordering coffee. He hadn't realized he spoke out loudly until a familiar voice behind him said 'Americano'. There beside him now stood Kim Mingyu.

Kim Mingyu is an advanced underclassmen of his, he got moved to third year classes, so it wasn't surprising that Mingyu would be in several of his classes.

Mingyu flashed the older a cheeky grin, "You know, I think an Americano would suit you, hyung." Joshua shook his head, rolling his eyes playfully. "I swear if the reasoning behind that is because I'm American..."

Mingyu laughed and nodded his head, "Yeah pretty much, but I'm thinking of getting an Americano anyways, so how about it?"

Joshua shrugged his shoulders, humming in agreement. "Americano it is."

The two stood in line, making small talk as they waited. They had ended up ordering together, Mingyu being the one to pay for them, insisting they should sit and talk some more for a little while longer, the older agreed of course, despite the thesis paper he had needed to do for one of his majors.

Joshua had decided to grab them a seat while Mingyu had taken care of the coffee. He chose a booth by the window in the far corner of the small coffee shop. He sat down, his bookbag resting against his side.

It wasn't long before the younger came by with two papered coffee cups in hand. He set one down infront of Joshua before taking the seat across from the older.

The two shared some stories of trips over the break as well as things going on in their classes. In the middle of Joshua's rambling about some teacher who decided giving out two essay assignments along with a thesis for fun, Mingyu's phone began to ring

Mingyu pulled out his phone, checking the ID before excusing himself for a moment. Joshua nodded his head, watching the taller get up, clumsily might he add, from the booth and take a few steps outside of the coffee shop.

When Mingyu had walked back in, he had a sour look on his face, though he shook it off, replacing it with a smile when he neared the older.

"What happened?" Mingyu frowned, an eyebrow raised up at the older, "What do you mean?" Joshua rolled his eyes, a sighing escaping his lips.

"I saw that look on your face, don't deny it. Now care to tell me what happened? Or am I gonna have to annoy it out of you?" Mingyu knew that his hyung was persistent in finding out what was wrong whenever his friends were upset, sad or some sorts of that.

"My dad, wants me to take over Kim Corps..." Joshua nodded his head, lips parting to speak, Mingyu brought a finger up to the other's lips, as if to say he wasn't finished.

"If I get married, thing is I do want to run the company, but I don't want to get married now...and if I don't get married, the company will be handed down to my brother."

Joshua took note of how Mingyu's eyes harden when he mentioned his brother, he also noted how the younger's jaw clenched at the whole situation itself.

"Oh...I wish I could help you out, you're in quite the situation...There isn't a way you can talk your father out of that arrangement?" Mingyu shook his head, he noticed how Joshua was about to speak up again, so quickly he changed the subject.

"So that teacher and the essays and thesis papers..." He uttered quickly, Joshua took the hint, he gave a tight lipped smile before going on about their previous conversation.
