Kary yelled and cried in the woods. Was she really a ghost. "Calm down", she said to herself,"you are not a ghost, and you're probably dreaming". "In fact, if this was a dream, it's the coolest dream ever"! Kary decided to find her house. She flew all the way up into the sky, looking at the Colorado. She finally spotted her house, she flew as quickly as she could". The sun started to shine and it was almost daytime. Kary arrived at her house when she heard her mom, running upstairs and yelling"KARY, ITS TIME TO GET UP FOR SCHOOL"! Kary poked herself, pinched herself, and hit her head against the wall. But she soon realized, this wasn't a dream, this is real life. "KARY IM COMING UPSTAIRS," her mom yelled. Her mom came to her room, "Kary where are you, seriously its time for school". She yelled hard, "MOM IT'S ME KARY, I GOT TURNED INTO A GHOST". But it looked like her mom couldn't see or hear her. "Alright, I'm going to go downstairs and when I come back, you better be dressed," her mom said". Kary was frightened. Was she really invisible that her mom couldn't even see her? How could this happen? Her mom came upstairs, looking in her room, then looking in the closet. "Kary where are you, sweetheart", her mom said, "You can't hide forever"! Her mom looked everywhere, in the house, in the kitchen, then in the backyard. "KARY", her mom screamed, " Please Kary your seriously scaring me". Kary wanted her mom to see her, she wanted to give her a big hug and tell her that she was there, but she couldn't, her mom couldn't see her and it would freak her mom out even more if she saw her. Kary's mom suddenly fell to the ground, she suddenly started crying so hard that it was hard to look at. "Mom", Kary said, "I'm right here mom". But her mom couldn't hear nor see her. Kary was in this situation alone.

Kary's mom started going on the phone, called everyone she knows. Then the police showed up, searching the house and the neighborhood. But as the police told her mom the news, she collapsed to the ground. Kary couldn't hear what the police was saying, but it was no good. The rest of the day for Kary was following her mom around. Following her here and there. But she wished the spell would break, she wished that she could go back to California and see her dad, she wished that she never moved to Colorado, but all this had happened and she couldn't get rid of it.

Then night came, the moon howled like a wolf, and the night was as darker than licorice. Kary's mom went into her room, sat down on her bed and smelled her clothes, she then fell down onto the ground and cried some more. Then Kary saw the ghost horse, he was as whiter than ever and galloping in the forest like he did yesterday. Kary slowly flew up to the horse, not meaning to scare him. She hid behind a tree and peeked out from the side. The horse was feeding on some grass. Kary suddenly flew from behind and jumped onto the horse with her body. The horse reared and bucked and neighed so hard, but Kary never let go. "GET OFF OF ME" the horse screeched. "NO, I WILL NEVER GET OFF OF YOU UNTIL YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU DID TO ME" Kary yelled. "fine," the horse said gently, " I will tell you if you get off of me". Kary gently got off the animal, but as soon as she got off, the horse bolted off in a dashing gallop like a racecar. "HEY" Kary yelled, "YOU CAN'T JUST LIE AND THAN BOLT OFF"! The horse stopped. He looked back at Kary and said, "Don't get close to your mom or she'll turn into a ghost too", the horse said, then trotted off. Kary's legs were shaking, her beautiful blond hair was floating in the air. What was she going to do? How could she turn back to human? Kary was determined to find a way to break the spell and turn back to human.

She started it the next day, floating outside her bedroom window and staring at her mom, crying, on her bedroom floors. Kary was upset, she was upset that she couldn't get close to her mom. She was upset that she couldn't give her mom a big hug and a soft kiss to tell her she was there. The police again arrived at her house. Telling her mom news. Her mom's eyes looked sadder every day, and her face was puffed up from crying and not sleeping well. Kary had to find a way to get back to her mom.

The night soon came, and Kary began her hunt. She hunted for supplies and stalked the ghost horse, making sure that he couldn't see her. Kary had no tools nor supplies to make a potion. Not only that but she didn't know what supplies she needed, and she didn't know how to make it. Kary decided to follow the ghost horse to his home. She hid behind trees and covered herself with branches. The horse walked, it seemed like he was walking for hours. But then he came to a stop. He stopped at the exact same tunnel that he took Kary to and then turned her into a ghost. The horse neighed, he neighed so hard that Kary thought his lungs would pop. Then, horses came, it seemed like they came in an instant. They all gathered around the ghost horse like he was the king and they were his people. "Okay everyone," the horse spoke, " I have recently captured an 11-year-old girl named Kary that moved all the way from California. "OHHHHH California," the crowd of horses said. "How does this horse know my name", Kary whispered to herself. "I have recently turned her into one of us, and she will stay as long as we could possibly keep her, but I need all of your help to make sure she doesn't leave Colorado and then turn back to human"the horse spoke firmly, "and if she does, King Baransksy will turn us into all back to real horses and we would be back to old farms grazing and be doing farm work, understand"? "Yes sir," the crowd said. "Now, I need you to go find this girl for me so we can do some more things to her". "Yes sir," the crowd said.

Kary was horrified. What do these horses want with her? Why did they pick her to torture? And who was King Baransksy and what did he want with her? Kary needed answers to these questions, and she needed them now. But before she could be even more confused, a horse spotted her! " Hey, there she is" a horse yelled. Kary needed to hide. She flew past trees and sped through rivers. The horses were coming fast behind her. Kary would never make it on time. And this might be her last day alive.
