A/N: Hello dragonites! Happy Snoggletog! And to those who don't celebrate, Happy  Holidays, Happy Winter, Happy Happy! XD I don't really have a lot to say but, Here's a song story, requested by @Hiccupwrite who suggested I do a song story for Christmas! So, I know this is being a posted a few days early, but I probably won't be on here much on Snoggletog, seeing as it's a holiday and I'll also have a little bit of family over.
Also, I didn't use the original of this song because I prefer this version of the song more. Not that the other version is bad, I just prefer this one. (Also, For anyone interested, there's a really good version by 'RobertIDK' on youtube that y'all should check out bcuz it's flipping amazing. I was going to use it, but there was a little bit of talking at the begining, So I didn't bother, But if you wish, Check it out!!

Snoggletog. Typically, One of Astrid's favourite holidays. Except for this year.
Most years, Astrid loved being with her family and friends. Surrounded by laughter, good food, and enjoyable presents.
Seeing her family's reactions to the gifts was the best part.
That, or the Mistletoe.
The Mistletoe was somewhere she found herself quite often when her now Husband, Hiccup was around.

Except, this year, she wouldn't quite have much of that.
Her mother, father, and sister had gone to visit some friends in Paris and got snowed in, so this year, they wouldn't be here. Her older brother and his family had also heard about this and decided not to come, even though Astrid would still be here.
Hiccup, had gotten called away for meetings far enough away that he had to take a two hour flight; And they decided he needed to stay until the 27th, meaning he wouldn't be home in time for christmas either.
As for Astrid's friends, they would be going to a party, but it was about an hour away from where Astrid was, and she didn't feel like driving that far in the cold weather, by herself, to a place where she wouldn't know many people.
So, Astrid was currently home alone, cold and bored.

She sat on her couch, curled up with a blanket, in front of the fire, movie on screen, hoping to distract herself; However she couldn't help but feel lonely.
Toothless, Hiccup's three legged dog, laid on her feet, stretched out at the end of the couch, while Stormfly sat on her swing next to the couch, singing a song every now and then.

Astrid sighed. It was supposed to be her first Christmas with her Husband. Their first Christmas married. They were supposed to be together, not miles and miles apart, distanced due to business and weather.
A chill snaked up Astrid's spine, freezing her once again, making her feel even further lonely and upset.

Suddenly, the phone rang, causing Astrid to jump.
Toothless sat up and barked before jumping onto the ground, following Astrid; his custom made prosthetic bouncing along the ground with him.
Astrid chuckled. "Its alright, bud, Just the phone." She said before picking it up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Astrid!"
"Hi Heather. Why are you calling, aren't you on your way to the party?"
"I am, that's why I'm calling. I want you to come with me."
"Why? I'm fine here with Stormfly and Toothless." Astrid said, and at the sound of his name, Toothless barked And stood up on his hind legs, putting his front paws on her legs.

When he did, he pushed her, knocking her back, on accident.
"Gah!" She exclaimed, falling backwards.
Toothless sniffed her to make sure she was okay and she chuckled, before Stormfly sat on her head.
"I think you need a break from that zoo." Heather chimed in.
"Nah, it's okay, really. Besides, who would watch them?" Astrid said petting Toothless' head.
"Fishlegs' parents are taking care of Meatlug and Windshear for us. I'm sure they wouldn't mind two more. Besides, more fun for Aaric."
"A pug, a husky, a bird, and a black lab? His poor parents would be drove nuts!"
"Well Meatlug will prolly just sleep, Windshear is happy if you let her run around outside, I'm sure they'd like Stormfly's songs, and Toothless would be good company for Aaric. I'm sure he'd watch over everyone quite well." Heather said with a laugh.
"Why isn't Aaric going to the Junior's party? Wasn't Adelaide throwing one for their gang and some school buddies?"
"She is, but Aaric's got a cold. His parents don't want him worse, but they want him to relax instead of constantly studying, so they offered to take the pets."
Astrid nodded as though Heather could see her. "I don't quite get why a twelve year old feels he needs to study so much." Astrid said with a laugh.
