A Talenny Story: Book 2

Discovery

We soon found ourselves in front of an old abandoned-looking warehouse. Wow MAD, super creative. Uncle Gadget and Brain ran off, leaving me and Josh to do all the work. Oh crap... MAD... Does that mean I'm going to see Talon too? I slightly shook my head, it doesn't matter. The mission is more important. I opened up my trusty codex and sighed.

"At least you won't leave me," I muttered under my breath, before opening up to buildings' blueprints.

I felt someone put their hand on my arm and looked up to see Josh, smiling at me, "Don't worry, Penn, you got this."

Talon POV

I gritted my teeth watching this unknown dude put his hand on my Penn's shoulder. I felt like I was going to rip him apart when he called her Penn. Only I get to do that! I wondered if she got my letter, or if she even opened it. Well, if she did, would she be acting like this with this guy? What's so great about him anyway? Does he have this awesome hair? I don't think so. They both began walking away together and I followed them. They were discussing Uncle Claw's latest plan and I kept on eye on this guy so he wouldn't make a move on my Pretty Penny. 

Pretty Penn pointed one way down a hallway, "Josh, you go that way, I'll go this way. Call me if you need anything."

That guy- Josh- nodded before dashing of down a hallway. Penny sighed before turning around.

"Talon, I know you're here. I can smell your hair gel." she put a hand on her hip.

I sauntered out of my hiding place before running a hand through my hair, "Good to know you still remember what I smell like, Pretty Penny."

She blushed lightly before clearing her throat, "Wha-wai-what no! It's just such a strong and putrid smell that I couldn't stand it and wouldn't forget it."

I chuckled before mimicking her, "Such a strong and putrid smell."

"I don't sound like that!" she glared and got into a fighting stance.

"Yeah you do," I said, getting into my own stance and we began to fight.

She aimed a high kick at me and I dodged it.

"Why are you kidnapping teachers?" she interrogated me.

I shrugged, "Some weird prolonged plan of my Uncle's. Something about how if they are no teachers, everyone will get dumb and they will be easier to control."

She stopped fighting, "Does he not realize that more people could just become teachers? Or that people can just self-teach themselves?"

I rolled my eyes, "I know right? That's what I was trying to tell him but noooo he never wants to listen to me! But you know, I just take the orders, not question them."

She snorted, which I found to be insanely cute, "Yeah right."

We began fighting again before I darted down a hallway, "Catch me if you can, Penn!"

I started up my rocket boots and took off, leaving Penny behind.

Penny POV

"Oh come on," I yelled at Talon's disappearing figure.

I huffed before running after him.

I'm so sorry for not updating faster. I'm kind of experiencing writer's block with this fanfic so I'm trying the best I can. If you have any ideas, comment and let me know!
