The Fire & Ice Puppeteer

First Attempt

Hotaru knocked on her brothers door for what felt like the millionth time. She was now getting irritated.

Finally out of patience, Hotaru decided to just walk right in.

"Enji?! You home?! It's an emergency!!!!" Hotaru called out in distress.

Endeavor came around the corner. "Ugh. What? It's in the middle—"

Endeavor looked up to see the city in flames from a distance. He then smirked. "Thanks for the info, little sister. Time to go hero up." Enji said as he left to stop the fire.

"Aunt Hotaru? What's happening?!" Shoto asked as he came running right after his father left.

Might as well start with the kid.

"It's your dad. Was he here just ten minutes ago?" Hotaru asked.

"I don't know. Why?" Shoto asked.

"It's the city! It's engulfed in flames!!! The only pyromancer around here, besides you, is your dad! He's most likely the reason the city's in flames!!! I came to see if he was here, but it turns out, he's not, so there's a high probability he did it!!!!" Hotaru lied.

Shoto just looked surprised. "But.... he wouldn't do that!" Shoto claimed.

"Well, he's a tricky person, so you never know. I want you to stay here! You're just a hero in training. I've got some equipment in my lab that'll help. Stay here!!" Hotaru ordered as she started running to her lab.

Endeavor was the first hero to arrive at the scene. The area that was burning was small enough to see if anyone had caused the fire on purpose. Sadly, though, it looks like it might have been an accident.

Endeavor reached out to get rid of the fire, but it then grabbed him instead and made his own flames go crazy. How could this fire be controlling him?!

The fire grabbed hold of Endeavors arm and engulfed him. It then made his body move as if he was causing destruction to the buildings. All the while, the flames laughed like a little child playing with his cool new toy.

"ARGH!!!! WHATS HAPPENING?!?!?!" Endeavor yelled as he tried to release himself from the fires grasp.

All of a sudden, All Might jumped in and caused all the flames to go out from the shock of his landing. "Endeavor. I never expected you to set fire to a city." All Might claimed.

Endeavor scowled. "I didn't. If that was my fire, it wouldn't have tried to take control of me." He grumbled.

"Take control of you, you say? Do you mean literally?" All Might asked.

"Yes. It started tugging me around and making it look like I was the one causing the chaos." Endeavor explained.

"How peculiar. Anyhow, the fires out now, so there's no need to worry about it anymore." All Might stated.

Just as he said that, everything around them lit up on fire again.

The two hero's were stunned. "Well, there appears to be a villain behind all this chaotic disruption. What do you say we take this bad guy on together?" All Might asked.

All Might turned to Endeavor only to find fire hitting his face.

Endeavor was now attacking him, but it seemed like he was fighting someone else. All Might knows Endeavors fighting style, but this wasn't it.

That's when other hero's arrived.

"All Might? What's happening?" Backdraft asked.

It took All Might a while to answer. "The flames. They seem to be taking control over Endeavor. I already put them out once, but it just lit back up again like I didn't have any effect. Now the fire has seemed to be taking over Endeavors movements and quirk." All Might explained as he took blows from the not in control Endeavor.

"There's got to be a villain around here causing this mischief. I'll keep this fight at a distance while all of you either put out the fire or find the villain behind all of this." All Might instructed.

"Right." All the other hero's agreed as they spread out to do just that.

"Endeavor! You need to fight this thing with all of your strength!" All Might encouraged.

"No dip Sherlock!" Endeavor argued back.

The fight kept going until a wave of water droplets spread through the area like bullets. It was then all the fire went out and everything finally settled down.

All Might and Endeavor stopped and looked for the source of the water. They turned to find Hotaru holding what kind of looked like a pen in her hand.

"Hotaru? Did you put out the fire with a pen?" Endeavor asked.

"It's not a pen. It's a water molecule conductor. It's a device that collects the nearest water particles and amplifies it into one conducted blast, sort of like someone who has a water wielding quirk." Hotaru explained.

"How interesting. Did you make this yourself?" All Might asked.

"Yep. This is only one of my inventions that allows me to use element like I had a quirk." Hotaru answered.

"Well, it doesn't matter what it is, I just can't believe you put out the fire." Endeavor grumbled.

"What? Jealous that a quirkless scientist like me could handle something the number two hero couldn't take of?" Hotaru taunted.

Endeavor growled. "No. I'm upset that All Might bested me again. This was my fight." Endeavor argured.

He went to turn to All Might, but to Endeavors dismay, he was already gone. Hotaru secretly laughed at his disappointment.

Now it was time to frame Endeavor for the incident.

"How could you do this, Endeavor?! You're the number two hero!!!" Backdraft spoke up before Hotaru could.

"What?! That wasn't me! Didn't you hear All Might say I was being controlled?!?!!" Endeavor defended.

"Yeah right! You're the pyro king! There's no way any flames could control you!" Desutegoro argued.

Hotaru decided to leave. There was no need for her to get involved now. The hero's believe he was the one attacking the city and she didn't even have to blame him herself! Talk about an easy achievement.

As Hotaru started walking home, she bumped into mr. Mint chocolate chip himself. Toshinori.

"Toshinori. What a surprise. How have you been?" Hotaru asked.

"Good. Were you at the fire sight?" He asked.

"Yeah, but I'm okay. I'm actually the one who put the fire out. To think a non-hero like me could stop Endeavors flames." Might as well start spreading the false news that Endeavor was the one who caused the chaos.

"Endeavor did? I wouldn't have guessed. Are you sure?" Toshinori asked.

"Yes. I saw it myself. He was attacking All Might and his fires were spreading everywhere. Not to mention I checked with his son, Shoto, and it turns out, Endeavor hadn't been seen sometime before the fire started." Hotaru explained.

"Really? This might cause some trouble later on. Well, I have to get going now. It was a pleasure seeing you again." Toshinori said as he turned to leave.

"Have a good evening." Hotaru said as she left the other way.

Toshinori walked down to the direction the fire came from. As he passed an alleyway, he caught sight of another flame. This one was standing in its own, right in the middle of the alleyway.

Toshinori looked at the flame and saw a smile creep upon the fire. It then disappeared into thin air.

This was definitely not Endeavors fault.
