my parents left hours ago to some conference, my bedroom light flickers a bit every once in a while and i hear the neighbors' music blasting.
funny how when you're lonely you notice the little things, right?
jaeden left a few hours before my parents had, but he knew how i got when i was alone in my house. he didn't know i'd be home alone, or else he would have come back.
and he didn't.
my phone was in the corner, and in all of my overthinking and worrying about things happening around me, i hadn't noticed the buzzing of my phone as jaden texted me nonstop.
a knock on my window drew me out of my thoughts, and looking to the window i saw a familiar face.
"i missed you." he whispered, climbing in as i had just opened it enough for him to slip in.
"you saw me just a few hours ago, jae."
"i know, but a few hours is way too long."
