Mute Mate

Chapter Two

I was in my office doing some alpha things when my beta barged through the door.

"Alpha, there are four Intruders north by the mountain."

"Okay, let's go." I said walking outside and shifting.

We followed the sent of the wolves. They weren't rogues, but pack members. Which was wired. But there was a different smell. It smelled like lavender and honey. I could feel my wolf, Alex, pacing anxiously.

What's wrong Alex?

I don't know. But that smell is like a drug.

I laughed then cut the link.

When we came upon them I saw three wolves growling and showing their teeth in a threatening way. The forth one looked scared. That's when Alex became angry and finally said,

Mate.

We found her!?

Yeah, but she is in danger. Let's kick some wolf ass.

Lets do it. I replied confidently.

Bliss

I knew I was most likely going to die. I was now against the wall, no where else to go or escape.

I had suddenly smelled something like fresh mint or rain. That smell distracted me that's when they attacked me. As I was trying to force the guard and potrol off me, my wolf who was anxious said,

Mate.

That's when I heard a huge growl.

"Get off! Mine!"

That's when they finally let me go. The wolf, that was my mate, grabbed one of my attackers and snapped his neck. He looked into the other wolves eyes, which made them run into the forest like cowards. When they left I saw a large wolf in front of me. He had beautiful blue eyes and brown fur. I could sense power, lots of it. My body shook in fear as he got closer.

"It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you." He said.

What do I do? I asked Lux.

Don't run. He's our mate.

He could tell I was afraid, so he backed up a little to give me space. After he backed up a wolf out of no where came up and attached me. He bit me and scratched me. Before he could do more damage my mate grabbed I'm a threw him. I lied there and whined. My mate came up to me. I saw worry and pain in his eyes, but I also saw love? And adortion? He probably saw fear and pain in mine.

That's all I remember before seeing black.

I had fainted.
