Chapter 17

Bliss

I woke up to the feeling of a warm chest on my cheek, which was quite comfortable and I felt safe. I adjusted my eyes to the light coming through the curtains and looked up to see Jacob staring at me. My cheeks were getting warm, indicating I was blushing.

"Good morning, love," He said, giving me a big grin. "Morning," I mumbled snuggling closer into his hold. I never wanted to leave his hold, he made me feel safe.

After a few of just cuddling and mumbling words, we finally got out of the bed and into the shower. I ended up showering first after bickering for a while. After my shower, I went into our closet to get ready. I grabbed a pair of grayish-black jeans with a white t-shirt and blew dry my hair letting it stay down. When Jacob and I were both dressed we went downstairs to the kitchen only to see Lacy, Amber and some other guy who I think was the beta.

"Bliss, this is Ryan, the beta," Jacob said introducing me to him.

"Good morning, Luna."

"Please, call me Bliss." I smiled, which he returned along with a nod. Being called luna is still something to get used to.

"Ryan is also Lacy's mate." Theo smiled.

"Really! That's so cool." I smiled, happy Lacy had found her mate.

"I would like to think so," Ryan said with a smirk. I heard Lacy giggle and walk up to Ryan putting her arm around him. They are a cute couple, that's for sure.

"So, Bliss, how does it feel to be Luna?"  Lacy said with a smile.

"Powerful and quite stressful," I said with a shy chuckle.

"Oh don't worry, it gets easier once you get used to your duties," Jacob said, giving me a kiss on the forehead.

"Bliss, would you like to go to the mall with me and Lacy? One of our favorite stores is having a sale."

"Yeah Amber, I would love to," I said giving her a smile.

"Okay, good! We're leaving in ten minutes," Amber said with a smile and leaving the room with Lacy. I went upstairs and grabbed a purse and my phone, getting ready to meet the girls outside. Before I could leave, Jacob came into the room.

"The girls said they are ready and are waiting downstairs."

"Okay!" I said with a smile.

"Bliss, here is my credit card, take it and spend whatever you want with it."

"Oh, it's fine. I don't want to spend your hard working money."

"How are you going to shop then? Just take it, It's not just my hard working money anymore, it's yours now too." I knew I would not win this, and he's being very polite, so I accepted to take it.

"Okay...fine" I murmured.

"Thank you," Jacob said with a smile. I gave Jacob a kiss and headed down the stairs, greeting the girls. We got into the car and began our drive to the mall.

The drive there was filled with gossip, laughing and boy talk, which made the ride seemed to go by fast and we arrived at the large building full of items to purchase. We walked into the mall and headed to numerous shops. I didn't buy much, primarily since I already have plenty of clothes at home, but lacy and Amber made me get a few things, saying they 'looked cute on me' and 'Jacob would love this.' On our way heading back to the car with many bags in our hands, a guy walked up to us that I didn't recognize and made me confused and anxious. I looked over at Lacy and Amber and they seemed confused too.

"Hello, ladies.." The unknown guy said to us.

"Who are you?" Lacy asked, appearing authoritative.

"I'm here to talk to you ladies."

Yeah, right," Amber said with irritation.

"Hey, no need to get feisty." He said with a smirk.

"What do you want?" I asked, trying to mask my increasing anxiety.

"Well. I'm here for you, Bliss," Again, with the disturbing smirk.

"How do you know my name, I never told you?" I said getting nervous.

"Dillon wants you, Bliss. So I'm here to get you."

"So he sent one of his minions to get her? What a loser." Lacy scoffed.

"You're not getting her. If you want her you have to go through us." Amber said, both Lacy and Amber standing in front of me. I started losing focus and was questioning why Dillon wanted me so bad. I don't understand why I'm so significant for him to do all this. I have a mate, hasn't he found his? I have so many questions that I could ask him, but if he goes through all this just to get me, what will he do once he eventually does?

I came back into focus and realized Lacy and Amber getting into physical fights with the mysterious, disturbing man. I heard Lacy telling me to run, so I did. I dropped my shopping bags and ran towards the exit. I exited the mall and ran towards the parking lot before someone caught me. They put a cloth over my mouth, making me feel drowsy. 

The last thing I remember is being packed into a black car and Amber screaming my name before everything went dark. 

I guess I'll get to see Dillon whether I want to or not.

Sorry guys this is a little short and it's been a while since I updated. I have been quite busy, but I will update chapters when I have the time.
