Aaron's POV:
I sit in the living room on the love seat waiting for Rita to wake up from the night. She walks around the corner holding her teddy bear with her earbuds in. I wave to her. "Hey, Rita!" I smile. She looks at me emotionless. "Are you Ok dear?" I ask looking at her. She says nothing squeezing the teddy bear. I pat the chair for her to sit. She sits beside me tears in her eyes. I wrap an arm around her in a comforting way. "Look. I know this is rough but you have me now. I'll treat you right. I love you." I smile hugging her. She smiles weakly at me and rests her head on my chest. I blush looking at my chest. She pokes my nose and I laugh. I hug her tightly and ruffle her hair.
