Hello! So this is chapter one, but it's sort of a prologue... any way, enjoy the story! :)
Thanks to foreveryoung_09 for the cover in the mutimedia section! :D
(I would really appreciate it if you could just give it a shot.) :)
Everything’s been lovely.
The people have been friendly, but of course there’s always going to be one person who kills all the fun, but I still like that fun-killing guy, when he’s on his good side, he’s got these awesome stories, he’s like a talking book, no, a talking library!
The view! The view is just wonderful, I see the structures and I get to see the sun at its finest. Sometimes it serves as some sort of wake-up machine when I forget to put the curtains down at night and then the sun comes up, surprise from Mr. Sun!
My place is just as beautiful, it’s pretty simple, just the way I like it, but it’s also pretty cozy. There’s a few cuddly pillows here and there. I’m still missing a few bits and pieces but it should arrive any minute now.
There was also a big, no, a huge mirror here. I checked myself to make sure I look somehow presentable when I face Dylan, Josh, and Jena.
My golden brown locks was in a bun, that’s presentable enough for me, check. My face is still okay, I still have my brown eyes, have my lips, still cherry red, not blue, check. I was wearing a baggy white jacket, and some black leggings, that’s okay with me, check. Okay, they can come now.
And they did.
“That was fast,” I said getting up, “Dylan are you sure—“ I was cut off when I opened the door to see no Dylan there.
“Dylan?” I said going out, looking right and left, “No Dylan.” I shrugged
I stepped on something while I was going back in, and I immediately took a step back. It was a wrinkled little paper. Well, the wrinkled part was my fault.
I picked up the little paper then got back in, I examined the paper, and when I turned it around, I noticed there was something scribbled in it.
Hello there!
I’m Mr. Red and I’m looking for my partner, the little Pink letter, can you help me?
Why am I looking for Pink? You see, my old partner, the Yellow letter, left me or it’s the other way around. Anyway, I’m lonely and I need Pink right now. Help me please? Oh and don’t be scared, okay? Okay. :D Bye for now.
-Red ( call me Red for short :D)
“Aw, how cute, of course I’ll help you find the little pink letter.” I was brought back to reality, “Wait, I’m talking to a letter.” It took me some time to process things.
“Wait, this is just a prank,” I paused, still confuse, “or something to cheer me up.”
I went to straight to the door and opened it, “Thank you!” I shouted at an empty hall then shut the door close.
I left the red paper at the counter then started to fix myself some chocolate drink. After a few more minutes there was another knock.
“Coming!” I shouted while trying to get on my rabbit slippers on, the slippers that Josh always makes fun off.
“Delivery for Briar the fuzzy bunny Willows,” Josh greeted me with a chuckle.
“You’re already holding two boxes! How can you see!” I answered back.
“I would appreciate it if you would let us in and let us put these boxes down, you know, as an act of thanking us.” Dylan said, somehow panting.
“Oh, yes! Come in, come in!” I said moving aside to let them in, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Oh and thank you!” I said feeling embarrassed.
“Oh? I’m not tired at all!” Josh bragged, but he went in anyway.
“How could y—“Dylan snatched the box, “you were carrying air!” He complained.
“It was not my fault someone was in a haste to get as many boxes as he could,” he paused and let himself fall on the sofa, “and it was not my fault you got the heavy ones!” He said laughing.
Josh, he’s the one with the jet hair and the contagious laugh. That didn’t connect at all but those are the things that really describe Josh for me. Well, he has hazel eyes which squint when he laughs, other than that, he’s the only person other than my parents that lasted this long. I’ve known him for as long as I could remember.
“When will you grow up,” Dylan said just loud enough for everyone, except for Josh, to hear it.
“What about we eat and un-pack? Yes?” Jena suggested, “That sounds more fun than arguing, right? Right.” And she turned her back on us and walked to the kitchen in a model kind of way.
Jena, she’s my best friend for some reason. I mean she’s really near to beauty perfection, and I’m really near to pig perfection, not that I'm fat. She has a beautiful long blonde hair that looks like it’s always glowing, making her look like a fairy princess, you know. Her blue eyes and well, basically everything seems to glow too, not literally though.
I was just still staring at my best friend, then I noticed her red cardigan.
“Jena, your cardigan! It’s red! It’s red!” I would guess that I freaked out everyone when I suddenly screamed like a maniac.
“Uh… yes, it is.” Jena said casually even though she had a weirded-out look on her face.
“No, no,” I started, “I mean yes, you’re cardigan is red, but I was talking about the letter!” I think I just made the situation worse.
I just rushed to get the letter, and run back to show them, “I was talking about this!” I said pointing at the still crumpled paper.
Josh snatched the paper from me, and the three of them started to read it.
“Iswn’t thwis cwute,” Josh said with a big laugh.
“Who is it from?” Jena said.
“Mr. Red.” Dylan answered her, and I saw Jena give him a death glare.
“Who is Mr. Red?” Jena rephrased her question.
“I don’t know.” I said.
“Forget it, that might be some prankster, weirdo, psycho, etc.” Jena said giving me back the paper.
I looked at the red crinkled paper intently.
“Okay.”
