Chapter Two – Beautiful Creature
[AN - Added a picture of David. Brian Redmon aka David Williams. He just screams sexy. Do you agree? ]
I woke up to a sound of child tantrum. I love children. I don't hate their tantrums at all! It's kind of relaxing for me to be honest. It's weird. I know.
'' Good Morning Passengers, welcome to Los Angeles International Airport. Local time is 9:00 pm. Please remain your seat belt fastened until the Captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign. This will indicate that we have parked at the gate and that it is safe for you to move about. Thank you for flying with us. Have a good evening.'' The flight attendant announced as I look down my window.
This is it! America! Excitement overpowered my nervousness. New friends, new school, new country, new lifestyle. What more could I ask for?
I walked slowly down the steps of the aircraft. The academy said a driver would come pick me up. They better do. I don't know a thing about Los Angeles at all! I also came in late for school. I was delayed for about a week because the Academy choose the ignore my appeal about studying there. They say that they are favoring the locals. Who does that? Mother gave them her piece of mind and In a week, I am here.
It is a blessing and a curse in my own viewpoint. Blessing because I am the only student the academy driver have to fetch. Curse? Well, people already have their cliques and have settled down in there nests aka the dormitory.
I walked faster towards the baggage claim. I keep on waiting for my luggage to pop out but almost everyone got their baggage and I still haven't got mine. My nerves shot towards my head as the conveyor stopped. Where is my luggage? I was frustrated even before I boarded the flight. I was gonna put my small luggage in the overhead bin but they did not allow it for the reason of it being to big.
''Where is my luggage?'' I asked the man operating the conveyor.
''I'm afraid that's all the luggage there is for Flight UA126 from London Sir.'' He said in a friendly manner but he looked tensed.
''I'm sorry? I haven't had my luggage. Where is it?'' I said politely.
''I apologize sir. I am afraid it might be lost or left in London. I'll forward this to the manager of the airline here in LAX. Wait for a while sir. '' He said and I motioned him to go get the manager.
Cold sweat ran my face. The only thing I have on me are my papers, the clothes that I'm wearing and a coat with my wallet in the pocket. What will I do without clothes? I couldn't shop just yet. I have to finish passing the final papers on the British embassy or I will be deported. That would be tragic. I was only granted the tourist visa until I pass the original copies of papers needed for student visa.
''I'm sorry Sir, we looked for your luggage everywhere, it's just not there.'' The manager approached in a friendly manner.
''Are you kidding me? My mother didn't send me into the first class of your airline for my luggage to get lost.'' I said trying not to sound rude or arrogant but failed.
