Mae's POV
I wake up the next day, the sun is just rising as I look out the window and see the sky is red and orange with a little bit of yellow where the sun is coming up. I get up and walk into the kitchen to start breakfast for the guys and me.
I open the fridge and pull out eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, waffle mix, pancake mix, it's gonna be a very Canadian breakfast. Which is funny because I'm not even Canadian, I start cooking everything when Sidney walks into the kitchen.
I avoid him and just continue cooking, I really do want to talk to him and tell him how I feel but if he wants me he's gonna have fight for me. I dish up everyone's breakfast and go wake them all up, as we are sitting at breakfast I tell them that I'm leaving for a few days.
" I just need to get out of Pittsburgh for a few days I'm going to Chicago for a few days, Ryland's gonna stay here and start school." I say
" Why you just got here." Letang said
" if you need anything call me, bye" I say
With that I walk out the door and to my truck. As I drive to the airport I think about everything that has happened over the course of a few days. I went from being so happy to angry to upset and then finally decided to leave for a few days.
I get on the plane, look out the window and listen to my music. As the plane lands in Chicago I look out the window at the city. I get off the plane and slowly walk to get my suitcase, I hear my name get called behind me.
" MAE" I hear
I turn around to see Toews, Kaner, Sharpy, and Shawzy.
" GUYS" I yell and start running towards them.
I hug Toews first then move onto Kaner, Sharpy and Shawzy.
" I have missed you 3 so much, how have you been." I say
" We've been good, Kaner hasn't been playing for the last 2 months because of his ankle, he broke it but now it's in a walking boot and he should be back soon." Toews says
" that's great." I say
" And how about you, how's everything in Pittsburgh and what's with the visit" Sharpy asks
" Well I'm good, Pittsburgh is Good I guess, I share an apartment with Jake Guentzel and my brother Ryland lives with us now. Sidney keeps giving me mixed signals and that's what caused the visit, I needed to clear my head." I say
" Wow tough few days then." Shawzy says
" Yea I guess you can say that." I say
With that we all turn and walk to the car, once we all pile in we slowly start pulling away from the airport.
