The ride back to the hotel was quiet. I knew my brother had some something to say and I didn't give a fuck. He always pissed me off when he tried to mediate the beef with me and my son. Sometimes I think he forgets exactly who Zyir belongs too. X didn't support my decision to come here and make Zyir come home and definitely wasn't a fan of shooting up his girlfriend's house. The thing is I didn't care. If Zyir didn't come back and help me seal the deal with the Ortez family my life was at risk. Don't think for one second I'm scared, but the Ortez family is stronger than my organization right now. When Zyir walked over half of my crew followed his lead. It's crazy how he went from being my shadow wanting to do everything I did and be everywhere I am to hating me. When his mother passed it's like a piece of him died with her. He's determined to get to the bottom of her death but there was so much he didn't know and wouldn't be able to handle.
"You know whose son that is you shot right?" X asked me. I looked over at him aggravated with his ass. X was always the thinker while I was the hot head. Acting on my impulse usually got me into some trouble but also put a lot of fear and respect on my name. I was too old to change my ways now. I knew who Zyir was in there with before I even went in. Well almost knew everyone in there. His girlfriend threw me for a loop, I don't even think he knows who she really is.
I built my empire alongside my brother. We put in work to have something to leave our kids and make sure they never struggled a day in their life like we did. X didn't have any kids but I had Zyir so everything was rightfully passed down to him.
"Yeah X I know man."
Shaking his head, X chuckled. " See you was worried about the Ortez family and now you're about to go head to head with Crazy Chris." Glaring at him I slammed on the brakes. His hand banged against the dashboard. His tank head ass left a big hole where it hit. Closing his eyes I knew he was trying to calm himself down.
"You mean we right ? You bitching up on me X?" I asked igging him on. Rubbing his head he waved me off.
"Nah bitch I was gone help your ass until you did that. You too old to be so damn childish Zeus." He complained. "That's why when Zyir calls me I'm going to tell him exactly where you at."
"Ain't nobody scared of Zyir ass." I hissed backed. X gave me a look and looked away. Zyir already didn't rock with me but if his friend didn't recover I knew I would find myself in three different wars. I laid my head back in frustration.
"You going to have to tell him the truth Zeus. Stop being difficult and save us all this headache."
I knew if I told Zyir what the real deal was he would have a hard time believing me, even with the proof I had. I also knew it would hurt him. No matter what ill feelings he had towards me I couldn't bring myself to do that.
