Richie Tozier hated life.
Not in a way of wanting to die or anything. Just why did he have to get up each day and go to school and do stuff? Why couldn't he just stay inside forever?
Sadly of course, he couldn't. And now of course he'd moved from Hawkins, Indiana to Derry, Maine and he's have to start all over again. No more Will or Lucas or Max or Jane. He had no idea who would be his friend now.
He sighed staring through his window to the one across his. He found himself staring to an all white room with a boy in it.
The boy was pretty short with brown, curly hair and pale skin from what he saw. He wore a white shirt and white shorts. His interest peeked instantly. Who was the cute mystery boy?
He did what any reasonable boy with a budding crush on his odd neighborhood he didn't know yet would do and whipped out an Expo marker. He sat at his window and carefully wrote on his window in backwards letters
"who r u ?" and opened his window.
He grabbed a small stone from his desk and gently threw it to the other boy's window to get his attention.
The other boy climbed across his bed and to his window. He had a confused look on his face until he saw the window.

"Who are you?" Eddie whispered to himself softly, a small laugh and smile ending his sentence. He grabbed a marker of his own from his white desk and wrote in neat, backwards writing
"Eddie. Who r u ?" and watched as the boy across the from him read and quickly erased his window and furiously wrote, erasing plenty of times as writing backwards was pretty hard to do.
"Richie, 908-233-1965" the next note said. Eddie assumed the letters were a phone number and he quickly grabbed his phone number and programmed it in.
