CHAPTER 5: THE APPOINTMENT

The captor's appointment with his Psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher- who devoted her life to empathise with and understand not only a large number of patients but a wide range of personalities within them, is also the one who reveal that Kevin has a Dissociative Identity Disorder what used to be called multiple personality disorder - and is hosting a whooping 23 personalities known as "alters". His real name is Kevin although he visits the doctor as Barry, but might be Dennis in disguise.

INT. THERAPIST DR. FLETCHER'S OFFICE

Barry arrives for a therapy session with Dr. Fletcher.

"These are very artistic, Barry. Just the kind of thing Hamptons ladies would spend $15,000 on to wear once at a charity ball." Dr. Fletcher praised as she flipped through the pages of Barry's artistic fashion sketches.

"Shut up!" Barry teased as he walks inside Dr. Fletcher's library wandering around.

"You know, I can't stay too long. This is just a visit." he add as his attention caught on the pile of books and unconciously arranging them.

"Are you looking for something?" Dr. Fletcher finally put down the sketch pad turning her attention now to Barry whose staring at the pictures hanging in the walls.

"No." he simply replied wiping off the dirt on the window.

"No?"

"I'm just admiring. I'm better now." his tone is reassuring trying to convince Dr. Fletcher to believe him.

"How's work?" she asks then curiously finding Barry's behaviour odd.

"It's great." his hands unconciously moved the bowl of chocolates to it's place unperturbed to Dr. Fletcher's watching eyes.

"When I last spoke to them, they believed you were a model employee. They found you meticulous and conscientious. - You know this, right?" she asked lifting up the mood to gain Barry's attention.

"I do."

"You've managed there for 10 years. You're functioning very well, Barry. And it's a rare and wonderful place for you to work." she smiles proud and amaze at the sametime to Barry's achievements regardless of his situation.

"Yes, it is." Barry simply grin reflecting her psychiatrist reaction towards him.

"You know, of all my other clients with your disorder, you've been the most consistent at your job." Barry simply nod looking bored to his sit.

"Did something happen, Barry?" he didn't replied immediately something caught his attention.
