The next few days, Jimin had given Jungkook space. He believed that the younger would calm if he didn’t see Jimin so much. So, he hung out with his friend, and fellow dancer, Lee Taemin. Unfortunately, this only made things worse.

“Where have you been?!” Jungkook roared.

He had decided to interrogate Jimin after he returned home one night later than usual. Jimin shrugged, not seeing the big deal.

“I was at the movies with Taemin,” he said.

He slipped off his shoes and a jacket. Jungkook’s eyes narrowed. He ripped the jacket out of Jimin’s hands.

“This isn’t your jacket!” he yelled.

“Yeah, I know. I got cold on the walk home and Jimin let me borrow his extra jacket,” Jimin said, shrugging.

He walked into the kitchen and got himself a glass of water. Jungkook followed him. He glared harshly. How could Jimin not see the jealousy rushing through his veins?

“Are you cheating on me?” he asked.

Jimin’s eyes widened.

“How could you think that?!” Jimin yelled.

“You’re with him ALL THE TIME!” Jungkook screamed.

All he could see was red.

“Even if I was, he’d make me happier than you!” Jimin screamed back.

He was shaking in anger. The glass of water fell from his trembling hands. It shattered onto the floor, shards flying everywhere. But neither boy paid attention to it. They were too busy angrily glaring at one another.

“What did you just say?” Jungkook seethed?

His teeth were gritted and his hands curled into angry fists, begging to slam into something.

“He treats me better,” Jimin growled.

The next thing that happened shocked them both. Jungkook’s fist hurled torward Jimin’s face. It seemed to move in slow motion until the knuckles connected with Jimin’s jaw. The force of the blow shoved his head sideways. After it was over, both boys stood still. Jimin finally turned to look at Jungkook. His face read many emotions, sadness, betrayal, anger, and regret swarmed his eyes.

“I’m done,” he whispered.

He shoved Jungkook out of the way and slipped his shoes back on.

“Goodbye Kookie,” he said, and walked out the door into the cold night.
