After Jimin had left, Jungkook waited a few minutes before going after him. He was angry, but he was also worried. He got in Jimin’s car and took off down the road. He had no way of knowing where Jimin had gone. He decided to head toward. Seokjin’s house. Jimin always went to Jin when he was upset. As soon as he pulled onto the highway, rain started to beat down on the car. He turned his windshield wipers on, but he still couldn’t see. The rain was too heavy. He should have pulled over, but he had to get Jimin back.

He drove along in the rain. His anxiety was making things even worse. His judgement was skewed. He knew he was getting closer to Jin’s house and he was wondering why he hadn’t already seen Jimin walking. That was when he hit something. The car bumped over something slightly, alarming Jungkook, but what alarmed him more was the cry of pain that followed. He pulled the car over immediately and jumped out. He began to investigate where the cry had come from when he saw the body. He ran to where the body lay, a few feet away from where he had parked.

“Are you ok?!” he asked the stranger.

“J-Jungkook?” a pained voice whimpered.

“Jimin?!” Jungkook yelled.

He couldn’t believe it. Here was his love, laying on the side of the road, in pain, and all of it was Jungkook’s fault. He knelt beside the male, assessing the injuries.

“What happened?!” he exclaimed after getting a view of him.

The male had blood dripping from his nose and his leg was bent in an awkward position that no leg should ever be in.

“I-I got sick,” Jimin stuttered weakly.

“What do you mean?” Jungkook asked.

Jimin started to respond but as soon as he opened his mouth to speak, a horrible retching sound was all that met their ears. The males body convulsed as he leaned over, retching and choking. Jungkook became even more scared. Jimin looked so wear. Jungkook was desperate. He needed to get Jimin out of the rain and to the hospital, fast. He frantically searched his pockets for his phone to call for an ambulance. He growled in frustration when he realized he’d left it in their apartment in his rush to run after Jimin.

“Just hang on Jiminie,” he cooed gently.

He took off his wet jacket and drapped it over the quivering boy before sliding his arms under his back and knees and hoisting him off the ground in a cradle. Jimin hissed in the pain of his leg.

“I’m sorry,” Jungkook whispered.

He carried Jimin to the car and carefully opened the back door. He gently laid the boy down in the long seat just before Jimin started retching and gagging again.

“You’re gonna be ok Jiminie,” Jungkook said, trying to keep the panic out of his voice.

He got in the driver’s seat and pulled back onto the road. He sped down the road as fast as he safely could, He continuously glanced back at Jimin through the rearview mirror, checking on him.

“Talk to me hyung,” Jungkook said as he drove.

“I’m sorry Kookie,” Jimin responded weakly.

He was fading fast. Jungkook could clearly see that. He sped up the car, praying to get to the hospital soon.

“For what?” Jungkook asked, confused.

“For bothering you so much,” he choked.

From the tone of his voice, Jungkook could clearly tell that he was crying.

“No baby, don’t say that!” Jungkook said.

Tears filled his eyes.

“I love you,” he cried, letting the tears fall freely.

He could audibly hear Jimin sobbing now.

“I love you too Kookie,” he cried.

Jungkook couldn’t take it. The distance. He reached his hand back to grabbed Jimin’s hand, holding it. He had taken his eyes off the road for a few seconds to find Jimin’s hand, but those few seconds would forever change his life…
