Suddenly I hear my door creak open, I turn to see Haymitch peeking on the side of the door. Once he is aware that I am looking at him he tries his best to not look like he was snooping around. he turns his smirk on maximum power to look innocent. I think Nathan and Haymitch would be. The best of friends. He turns a fiery red and screams " I understand that you have been under a lot of stress, but that doesn't mean you can yell at the man that could kill Katniss on the spot!" I nod my head and say in a calm voice " I understand that my outburst was unnecessary and I promise that it will not happen again." Haymitch cools down and says "Okay as long as you promised..." he trails off and starts to mutter something about a 'plan'. I see it as another one of Haymitch's crazy attacks that he has all the time, sometimes I want to help him out since I lost Nathan in the 48th hunger games during the 1st day's bloodbath. I talk to my consular about both of them, Haymitch and Nathan, and every time she I can only do more damage to his fragile heart. I go to the couch and decide to sleep there instead of my bed. I edge my way on the couch and once I am on it I grasp the covers. My eyes start to fall as I realize that I almost never do this though I am always tired. I accept the gentle hand of sleep and start to remember some if my favorite moments with Haymitch.

After he won the games I remember that all of the girls would fall to his knees but he never really liked the attention. At the time I was training with Andrew Dragonnut, the current district 12 escort. He kept on telling me that with my natural talent for this could put me in a more fabulous district like 3 or maybe even 2. Every day he would ask me why I wanted to escort such a poor district and I would always reply that I felt sorry for them, when really I wanted to feel close to the district I ran away from. Everyone ate in this giant cafeteria, sometimes I would see Haymitch in there or in the hallways. Maybe I had an a crush on him maybe I didn't myself couldn't tell. One day he said hello; most people I bump into just ignore me and get on with their business, when I bumped into him he stoppedz. I was afraid he would scold me since even though we are about the same age it looks like; he got so much respect for from winning. instead he holds out his hand to shake, I regain my posture and hesitantly shake it. "Of course you know my name, it is Haymitch, but I want to know your name instead!" he said. "My name is Sinclair but I want to change it. Would you mind sitting with me at lunch?" I say in a quick voice with a nervous smile. " Yes!" He says with one of the first smirks in a long line I would see. "Want to walk with me there" he says. I answer with a nod and walk to the cafeteria with him. we both walk in silence but when we sit down it was like a flood gate was opened. We talked about the future, politics, family, and my trainer's weird hairstyles. Before he left to go wherever he needed to go I asked him "Why are you not at the Victor's Village in district 12?" he arose from his seat and said "I am an orphan and they didn't want me to live there all alone." By the look on his face I could tell that he was telling the truth. We part are ways and go on with our day. The next day we sit together at lunch and then the next day and the next until our little meeting becomes a regular thing. "I think that you should change your name to Effie it sounds like a Capital mother would name her child." He said one day at lunch. "why should I change my name?" I say with a fake questioning face. "I was just suggesting that name because Sinclair sounds like a name from 12" he was the only one who knows about my poor past. I have always wanted to change my name but I never thought of a name. "Mr. Dragonnut wants me to do some paperwork for him" I lie, and rush out of the cafeteria and and to the front desk to ask how to change my name.
