A/N holey smokes 1K reads!? I honestly didn't think it would get that far but here's another update dealing in with bringing her mom into the picture, this is a semi riverdale crossover? Of sorts? Because I had Cheryl's mom play the role of Veronica's mom & act the same way she does with Cheryl with her. So enjoy!

The next morning,
Veronica leaned against the kitchen counter sipping on her coffee as she was already dressed to go having her weekendbag next to her, as Jim quietly creeped through the door closing it behind him "you know, family doesn't lie." She said as he set his hat down

Jim tensed up real quick and asked, "Isn't it too early for you to be up on a Saturday morning, kid?" She usually was up a little later than this even if she did have to go to her mother's. He rubbed his temples not ready for this conversation.

"Doesn't matter. There's leftovers in the fridge, she's requested She wants me there early for some reason I don't know what time im coming back not that it really matters anyways since nobody seems to want to call and let people know if they're alright or in trouble or why they never came home." She said placing her cup in the sink washing it out "I figured you were with Joyce but when she called after I got home lastnight and asked if I had heard from you i began to wonder where you actually were, Powell even called asking." She said picking up her bag

"Wait, where did you go last night?" Jim asked sighing heavily and putting his head his in hands as he sat down in one of kitchen chairs.

"Out not that you would have noticed." She muttered "Where did you go lastnight?" Veronica retorted the stupid question he asked picking up her bag setting it on the counter

"I got busy with other stuff. I'm sorry. Its been a little weird as of late," Jim answered, being very vague about it. He really didn't want to tell her about the Eleven thing because that meant having to tell her everything from last year.

"You know I thought shit quit getting "weird" when Dustin was ranting about some girl with nose bleeds, who saved him and mike from Troy and James last year, obviously I was mistaken." Veronica said shaking her head checking the time

"You should head out before your mother has a bitch fit," Jim said after Ronnie mentioned Dustin talking about Eleven. Definitely not something he needed right now.

"She said she was picking me up, said she didn't want me driving up there anymore Incase I tried to leave early or some shit" she shrugged

Jim rolled his eyes, "I swear to god. Your mother..." He trailed off stoppong himself from saying anything about her mom in front of Ronnie. She didn't need that influence. Even if her mom was a bitch.

Veronica looked at him for a moment opening her mouth to say something before hearing 3 sharp knocks at the door she sighed picking up her bag "I'll see you late Sunday night or Monday morning before school." She said walking over to the door opening it

"Try to have fun. Be safe," Jim told her before she opened the door. He always got a weird feeling in his stomach whenever she left for the weekend. It was a bad feeling at that.

"I will don't worry" she said flashing him a smile grabbing her red coat before walking out the door closing it behind her quickly walking down the steps

"Get in. I can't have you wasting my time," Penelope snapped tapped her foot and had her nose up in disgust at Jim's home.

Veronica nodded keeping her head down quickly putting her bag in the back of the trunk before getting in the car not wanting to further irritate her mother

"Straighten your skirt out. You look like a tramp like that," Penelope hufed as she got into the driver's seat.

"Sorry Mommy" Veronica said quietly straightening out her skirt so it was fixed like it was supposed to be. Around her mother she always had to be put together it felt like no hair coulf he outa place.
