Makeshift Love

So sorry for not uploading on this story like I use to do. I am very busy but once summer hits I will be able to work more often. I don't get out of school till June 6th!

Lucy p.o.v

I wanted this love, but I couldn't handle it. I can't seem to piece together my thoughts. He hurt me yet I couldn't get rid of these lingering feelings. After what happen I don't think they would be leaving very soon.

Sighing I shifted my weight on one hand to the other. Mira kept giving me a small smile. She knew more then the others on my situation. I haven't been able to see Levy since Gajeel said it's best she bond with the child. Mira had offered me a chance to have a heart to heart with her. I knew she wouldn't tell others about my problem, but I can't help but feel she was cooking up something. 

A hand touched my shoulder making me tense. Turning I could see Levy standing there. A wide grin plastered itself on my face as relief flooded me. "Levy I am so happy your here" I exclaimed. That is when I notice Lacee wasn't with her. "Where's Lacee?" I asked. "Gajeel is taking his time and bonding with her. Yeah I know the big guy is being soft for his little girl" Levy said a smirk on her lips. I just couldn't get the image of Gajeel being a caring person holding a small little girl out of my head. 

"Well why you so glad to see me?" She asked after she sat down. She moved slowly still sore from child birth.

"Girl talk" I replied. She gave me a grin before turning to Mira who was close by serving Erza some cake.

"Mira can you tell Gajeel I went to Lucy place for girl talk if he ask?" She asked the takeover demon.

Mira nodded with a smile before she was pulled away to serve some beer. Levy grabbed onto my hand and pulled me to my place. The walk there was quiet as people blurred by me. 

"Is it truly an okay ideal taking you away from Lacee?" I asked the new mother. I wasn't all with the whole first time mother thing. Levy turned to give me a small smile before stopping at my place. 

"Honestly I feel that maybe Lacee and Gajeel need that father daughter bond then her mother daughter one. I have a feeling she's going to be more like Gajeel then me, but that's okay we always can try with the next one" she smiled. 

"Wait you just had one baby and your already thinking of having another one  so soon!" I exclaimed. What female person in the whiole wide world would want to have baby right after they just had one. Levy face flushed a bit before shoving me into my place. 

"Okay enough about me. Now time to have that girl talk" she said changing the subject. I made Levy sit down so she could rest as I went to my kitchen and boiled some tea. Grabbing some cups I made the tea and brought it to her. "Here" I said handing her the cup.

She took it without any words and began to sip on it. "Okay so tell me whats going on in that blonde head of your" she said with a smirk. 

"It's about Natsu" I started. Levy looked at me with a very amused look. Her eyes twinkled with a devlish smirk, but as it came it disappeared. On her face now was a totally different emotion. I couldn't pick out which it was because she looked away starring out the window.

"Everyone deserves a second chance Lucy. Yes Natsu hurt you really bad, but after you left it was as if he was a totally different person. Gajeel overheard him talking to Gray one day. He was a mess he kept babbling about how he lost a friend. He also mention that he felt funny now that you were gone. When mating season came around and the other dragon slayers were effected and he wasn't he got really depressed. He had a feeling once Gajeel explained everything to him that you were his mate. By being a bad mate that he was he brought all that negtive energy on himself. Then he started dissapering looking for you. Lucy I think you know about mating season as well if your dragon mention it" Levy said with a mouthful. 

"You see Levy I do know about mating season. when it came about I felt empty and all I could think about was Natsu. I pushed that thopught away because I was still furious with him. Hearing how bad me leaving mad Natsu change I feel as if it's my fault his health is down" I muttered. I climbed up on my bed and curled up. My heart was hurting from the news I heard. Natsu truly did care he was just blinded by his stupidity. 

 

"Lu-chan, if Natsu was to make everything up by next mating season would you take him back?" she asked. That question replayed itself throughout my head. I couldn't answer it just at the moment, but to put some kind of ease in Levy head I replied, "Such a makeshift love this is."
