Your little siblings are loved more than you were ever loved.
Father gave no attention to you so you turned to mother but she was focused on your elder sister.
So you turned to dope and beer and wondered if you'd ever make it through high school.
Your mother only smiled at your sister and your father praised your brothers.
You were unseen, invisible and you wondered if they'd notice if you died.

You didn't see the point of studying, so you smoked in the toilet and hang out with the pothead kids and missed classes and your father found out about it.
But you didn't care.
You cared about nothing.

Some nights you sleep a lot and can't wake up.
Some nights you can't sleep at all.
You try to pray but feel no connection to God.
You are burdened by sorrows and depression and you believe you won't make it to the day you're 30 years old.
You are trapped in a never ending loop of pain.
So you dye your hair green and get a tattoo for a change but you still feel the same.

You give up seeking change and dwell on the bed you made.
Beer and dope are your mates.
A piercing and a tattoo every now and then to make you feel alive.
