Chapter 2

I walked over to the gate and pressed the button. I softly sang into the recorder "Magic in me,

januam aperit."(Magic in me opens the door) The gate opened.

I walked into the mansion and found our black cat Felix chasing some mice. He ran underneath a ladder, which was there because our roof leaked, so it's not some stupid witch stuff. We are not stupid.

Felix crashed into the wall, again not because of the ladder, just because Felix is a extremely stupid fat ass. Still, he's cute.

I went over to the cat and picked it up. "You have to be more careful, Felix." I kissed the cat on the head, whilst walking to the grand kitchen. I found my mother in a long black and purple gown. "Hello Mother."

"Hello darling. How was the park?"

"It was good. Oh, I saw Jason!"

"Oh! How's that sweet boy doing? I haven't seen him or his family in a long time!"

"He's doing great. We're going to get coffee this weekend."

"Like a date?" My mother shook her head dissapprovingly. "Emma, you shouldn't date. You're a witch. You have to keep that a secret. You know what happens when people find out that you're a witch."

"Yes, yes." I rolled my eyes and put on a motherly voice. "You won't be able to live a normal life, nor will the other witches. You'll ruin many lives. And you'll ruin the family's reputation in the witches community."

"Good. Now I want to tell you something. There will be a Brooms Ball in a month. You'll have to find a dress that's sophisticated and sexy at the same time. I trust you on that. The gown room is already created for you."

"I'll ask Jenny and the other witches for help. Don't worry, Mother."

"Good. Now what would you like to eat?"

"Mother, you know I don't mind."

"I know." She smiled. "I just wanted to check."

"Okay. Well, I'll go upstairs now. See you at supper."

"Bye, honey."

I exited the kitchen and put Felix on the floor.

"Lead me, Felix. To the gown room." I said to him. He meowed, and started walking towards the room. Now you're probably asking yourself why I need a cat to show me the way? Because we don't actually have a gown room. We just create a room that we need somewhere in our mansion, and Felix feels the magic vibe that is circulating around that room, so he can instantly find it. Felix got to the first staircase and stopped. He looked at me with his big gray eyes and meowed.

"Seriously Felix? You want me to carry you upstairs? Are you that lazy?" I said, highlighting the word "that".

Felix shrugged his shoulders and started to walk away.

"Okay, okay, you lazy fat ass. Come here." I said playfully. He turned around and happily hopped into my arms. I walked upstairs and then he showed me the way by pointing his nose to the left corridor. I put him down and he started running, wanting to get away from me. I quickly said "Omnes andrones, in uno uno." So whatever corridor he ran into lead back into this one. I let him run in circles for a while, so he could get tired. When he finally stopped, he was standing in front of a door.

"Is that it?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. He meowed.

"Magicam fines." I whispered. "Pleasure doing business with you." I said to my cat, smiling, and shut the door in his face.
