She seemed nice enough but one can't really judge a person based on the first encounter. It may only be a matter of time before she realises my social standing in this school and abandons me to climb our hirarchy.

She turns to Thomas, "and who might you be?" she purrs.
Thomas' mouth open and closed several times before stuttering a response.
"h-h-hi".
I mentally facepalmed and decided to help my awkward bestie.
"His name is Thomas".
I looked to him and he whispered to himself "yea....Im Thomas".
I rolled my eyes as Chevella  began to speak.
"....so can i hang with you guys?"
"uh sure" I replied.

Thomas awkwardly blushed and rubbed his neck at the attention that was given to us when we entered the cafeteria. Chevella  wasn't stupid, she knew people would stare. Many of the students checked her out .... one in particular stood out to Jade. There he was the tormentor .... he stood leaning up against the emergency door. Jade's face instantly changed, her joking smile turned into a cold mask of indifference when she made eye contact with him.

Damien in all of his idiotic glory sauntered up to us with that annoying little smirk. He looked Chevella  up and down, his smirk growing wider. His voice was loud and confident when he asked "Why are you hanging out with these losers? when you could hang out with me".

"Beacause I'd rather hangout with people who actually have brain cells and it seems that you are quite severly lacking in that criteria," Chevella  spat back.

Damien looked dumbfounded. Although regretfully the silence didn't last long before he tried again. There were no seats left in the cafeteria, its not like we sat there anyway but Damien decided to speak up.
"There are no seats here...." he trailed off, "but theres always a seat for you on my face" he not so quietly whispered to Chevella.
I could visibly see the shiver of disgust run through her whole body at the creepy comment.Chevella didn't say anymore but she didnt need to her face said it all disgust crinkled her features. With a filp of her hair she strode away gracefully with Jade and Thomas, leaving  behind a confused Damien.

"Nice one Chevella! never have I seen Damien rejected so brutally," I commented.
"Please call me Chevy" she replied, a wide grin appering at their approval.

When we arrived at our spot Chevy was kinda awed, the greenery was beautiful and calm, "This is where I feel most safe, it may sound weird but its like I can feel the energy within the nature" Jade breathed out sort of as an explanation as to why they were outside. Thomas agreed adding a quiet comment "It's a good place to read ...if you like that kind of thing."
"Aw hell yea! I love reading" Chevy replied enthusiasticly.

Lunch had ended and friendships were formed. I guess we are a trio now, Jade pondered. We had bonded over our common hate for assholes, all things amusing and our music tastes, I found that we have alot in common with her.

Chevy was funny Jade thought, the amount of jokes that were shared were phenomenal but I was curious as to why she kept looking my way for approval. I know  she was trying to break the ice but you would think that she wouldn't be in need of approval. Oh well life goes on but as always things were not as they seemed with her. Thomas was as awkward as ever laughing at every joke like he was gonna  pass out due to lack of oxygen, but I think he enjoyed it. I know I did.

The school day came to a close and many new things were discovered. I found out that Chevy and I shared some classes, that I am capable of liking  people other than my bestfriend and that there are people who are capable of forming their own thoughts. Maybe its just our small town thats like this but I feel deep within my gut that my life will never be the same again.
