Part 2

Noooo it can't be..ya Rabbiii
Ni'ma held the bar of the sofa to support herself. How could one bear so much. Her one and only sister. She knew she couldn't give all the love she deserved but she tried her best though she was lacking it herself. How could she digest. What will happen to their little family now. Already the news might be flying like a wild wind. She slowly entered the room where she could see her mother silently sobbing laying her head on the bed sitting on the cold floor. She couldn't take this picture. Not after all had happened. Hopeless she sat beside her. Slowly her mother raised her head showing those swollen eyes. Those eyes already bore so much pain and hurt and now it was unbearable. Why Ni'ma...?? She had to do like that??? Her mother asked almost in a whisper. She knew her mother knows that she couldn't answer it. All she could do now was silently join her sobs. Umma lets pray for her. She is still our little sister. She's too small to understand  the consequences.

Though desperate Ni'ma wanted badly to know where her sister was. She had left only a small note mentioning : "I don't deserve to say sorry but I couldn't bear more. He promised he'll take care of me. One of your burden is relieved and I'm happy of it."
In the very conservative and traditional society of hers a woman was hardly considered to have her say in her OWN marriage. How ironic!!! It is true that parents and grand parents made their arranged marriages a success willingly or unwillingly with no other option but for the sake of what they believe while their religion has a whole different say in it which clearly states the right of a woman's opinion in her own life. Ni'ma wondered how such conservative and man dominant customs really came into such importance. But now all she wondered was about her little sister. While she took her mobile to inquire someone about something related to her sister her brother stormed into her room with anger, shame, fury and guilt evident in his face. One look at his face conveyed everything he wanted to say. He summarized everything with one sentence,
She's no more in our family.
Ni'ma tried to protest but one hard look from him made her suppress all her outbursts. He had the power of dominancy after all.

Overpowering her shame came pity towards her innocent sister. People had already magnified and created their own stories around her sister. She knew todays day at work is going to be a tough one answering those questions arrowed at her adding pain to her already hurt heart. But there was no other option except to adjust to all these. After all this is why she is living for.
Stepping inside the office fearing the presence of people she heaved a sigh. As expected mrs Norris was hurrying towards her with so much curiosity in her wrinkled face.
Good morning Ni'ma!
Good morning Mrs. Norris! She answered politely.
Is it true what I heard. What shame on the family has she caused and an un washable stain she has caused.
Nima tried so hard not to let tears out. That will show the people how badly she's hurt. She didn't want another person's sympathy to her personal problems. She relied only on one.
I'm sorry for u Ni'ma. With that she left her.
Through out the day she had to face many a lot of Mrs Norrisses and what not even curios Mr Silvas. Today was indeed such a fretful day. The only person to console and understand her was Reena. And she felt so grateful for her.

It was time for her to leave home. Suddenly the telephone on her office desk rang and she took into in a hurry.
Hello! Ms Ni'ma here.
Hello! Please come to the director's cabin. We have a sudden meeting. Answered a female voice.
What at this time???!!!
Complained Ni'ma inside her head mentally. What she didn't know was fate's beautiful play waiting to play with her..
