It all became clear to me on a nice fall day in Georgia. I was 16 and my grandmother had just died from lung cancer. I was laying out in a cotton field when I saw "her." The wind blowing through her hair. Her eyes deep blue like the ocean. I didn't know her name or who she was but, I knew right then that she would turn my whole life around.

Now to where it all began. On August 5th, I moved from Illinois to Alabama. I was 13 and going to the 7th grade. I didn't know anyone here except for my grandmother. You see, my parents had died in a horrible fire. I wasn't home at the time of the fire because I was at school.I stayed with Uncle Tommy for a little while but, he got arrested for selling drugs, so I had to move in with Granny. I had fallen into a deep, dark depression since my parents death.

On August 8th, school started again. I walked in the school house with my tatted up uniform covered in ash and approached a desk. I sat down and was quite all day. No one seemed to notice me. It was almost like I was invisible. I walked home after the day was over and laid in Granny's corn field. Later that day, Granny told me that Aunt Lizzie was over. I came inside to say hello and walked to my room. I was never a fan of her because we never really talked.

I was silent all week until Friday. A boy came up to me and told me that I shouldn't be at this school. He said that too many people were evil and that he would help me. His name was Trey.

I spent the weekend going through old pictures and humming my favorite songs. I I found some of my parents and friends. I taped them to the wall and began to sing with my scratchy, annoying voice.

Now it was Monday and I had to go back to school. My clothes smelled like cigarette smoke because of Granny, but I didn't care. When I got there, a kid told me to kill my self. I ignored him but, later more kids started shoving me and calling me all sorts of names.

"Fat ass"
"Ugly"
"Whore"
This was just the beginning of Trey's plan...
