Sebastian had woken me up extra early as well as given me an excess amount of chores to take care of, probably pay back, and didn't make me breakfast and instead made me watch the others eat.
I sighed looking out the window, my eyes growing heavy as I fought a worthy opponent in battle, sleep. As my head dipped down and my eyes started to close, I jerked my head up to stare out the window at the town, Ciel sitting across from me doing the same thing. The carriage soon came to a bumpy stop in front of Ciel's town house, Sebastian opened the door, letting Ciel out as I followed suit.
"I hate this. There are too many people in London." Ciel muttered as Sebastian closed the door. "There is no helping it, my lord. It's tradition for the nobility to migrate in masses to town from the country every Season." Sebastian stated walking behind Ciel as he made his way to the drawing room. "The Season, eh? A waste of time, if you ask me." Ciel said face palming. "Getting away from the manor could prove a nice change of pace. It's a break from those four, at least....We can enjoy a little peace and quiet for a time." Sebastian said to Ciel. Oh how very wrong you are my butlery friend. "Some peace and quiet does sound nice." Ciel said as Sebastian pushed open the door and allowed Ciel to enter, but we all stopped dead in our steps as we saw Madam Red and Lau searching through the room.
"Goodness's sake! Where do they keep the tea in this house?" Madam Red said looking through a cupboard filled with books. "I can't find it either..." Lau said peering into a blue and white vase. "Don't be silly! Of course it's not in there. Oh!" Madam Red snapped. "Madam Red?! Lau?! What are you here?!" Ciel yelled. "Ciel, you're early, dear." Madam Red said closing the cabinet door. "Your sudden appearance here in town must mean..." Said Lau standing up and facing Ciel. "The Queen's guard dog has a new scent to follow." Madam Red said.
After a bit of chatting we all left the town house and all got into the carriage, me and Sebastian rode in the coach's seat while the others chatted away inside of the vehicle. "So how's the Jack the Ripper case coming along?" I asked Sebastian. "Well as of late we have no leads or clues." Sebastian said staring at the road ahead of up. "What if I told you I know who Jack the Ripper is?" I said smirking at Sebastian. "That would be outrageous. There are no clues linking the murders to the culprit." Sebastian said. I said nothing back to him, for fear that I'd give away too much information and somehow cause an apocalypse in the current dimension I'm from. We sat there in silence for the rest of the ride.
Sebastian pulled to a stop in front of a street crowded by police men and civilians. I hopped out of the coach's seat and opened the door for Ciel before quickly closing it and following closely behind Sebastian careful as to not get separated from them by the crowd. We walked up to Abberline who was reading the report on the crime "Sorry, my boy. I'm afraid a crime scene like this is no place for a child. Now why don't you just run along home?" Abberline said attempting to shoo us away. "I'm here to see the victim's body." Ciel stated. "The body?! Surely you're kidding me!" Abberline yelled at the young earl. "Abberline!" Yelled a voice. Soon a man with a grey beard, who wore a black top had and moss green trench coat, Arthur Randall, stepped forward, he noticed us and his eyes narrowed "Well, if it isn't Lord Phantomhive? What are you doing here?" Arthur asked, sounding quite annoyed. "You know this kid, sir?" Abberline asked the police commander. Arthur ignored his question and kept his attention on Ciel "I'm here to help, Sir Arthur." Ciel said holding up a letter with a red seal imprinted with a crown. "Seems your investigation is dragging a bit." He said grabbing the papers out of Abberlines hand and looking through them. "You know who sent me, of course. It seems you haven't found any major clues yet." Ciel finished with a smirk as Arthur quickly took the papers back. "We at Scotland Yard are more than capable of handling this case, I assure you. There's no need for you interfere." Arthur grumbled. "Splendid. Shall we go, Sebastian, [Y/n]?" Ciel said turning to face me and the butler. "Yes, sir." Me and Sebastian said in unison.
