Being a guy isn't as fun as you think....or being sixteen in fact.

Although I can say there are some pros and cons at being a teenager.

A pro would be living with my older brother ,Calvin, who cares and provides for me. A con is having to be home by 6:30 for dinner which can be a problem at times.

Especially when it boils down to track season.

Good thing that's over with.

Oh.

I'm sorry. You'll have to excuse me for being so rude.

You see, I'm not exceedingly well at introductions. But I'll give it a try.

In Greek my name means 'with royal blood and/or king.'

Vasilios that's the name my mother gave me and as I told you before I live with my older brother Calvin. Ever since mom and dad gave us away to our grandmother who toke us up under her protective wing and guided us on the right path.

It wasn't until Calvin turned 18 when he moved out and decided to take me up north with him.

It's been three years since we left.

How time as passed us by. It felt like only last week we attended our grandmothers funeral.

What a sad day it was.

Other than that, life has been good for us.

It 2:30 in the evening.

Calvin should be walking through that door any min-

"I'm home."

And there he is.

Getting up from my comfortable spot on cream leather sofa. I walk to the kitchen.

Greeting me with a smile is no other then Calvin......with five paper bags of groceries on the counter.

"How was your day?" I asked helping him in putting away the groceries.

"I had a good day today. What about you Vas, how was your day."

"It was boring, but still good."

"Yeah. I bet you were happy. Y'know getting all that extra rest. Being the beginning of summer an all."

"Oh yes." I yawned.

Chuckling Calvin turned to me after putting the last of the groceries away.

"So. You wanna go to the beach. The sun is still shining."

"I don't feel like swimming today Cal."

He laughed. "We don't have to. We can just walk around." He shrugged. "I know you don't want to be stuck in here all day."

"I had that dream again." I told him as we walked up stairs into the bedroom.

"Really?" He hummed.

"Yeah. That dream but it was different this time."

"How so?"

"This time I was in a large hot springs. But with icebergs in it and mountains surrounding me. It was nighttime, the stars were out and the moon was full and bright. Smoke was everywhere and there was so much of it that I almost couldn't see. I......felt content there but something was wrong. I felt it. I felt that I wasn't the only one in that hot springs. Something emerged out of the water but before I could see what it was I woke up." I told him as we walked downstairs

"How long have you been having these dreams." He asked as he pulled his keys out to lock the door.

"I dunno." I shrugged. Getting into the car.

But I know that's a lie. I know the number of months I've been having these strange dreams. Six months to be accurate.

As we made our way to the beach I could help but wonder the identity of that thing in my dream.
