forewarning - some things mentioned are lowkey messed up and although nothing's descriptive or (for lack of better word) bad, there's heavily implied abuse so keep that in mind

"mike!"

bailey had been searching for what seemed like hours (but was actually 10 minuets) for mischief, but he didn't seem to be anywhere. walking through the lounge he glanced over at whoever was in there to see how busy they were, maybe they could help look after he had a word with mike.

carmen, tee and kazima were all watching some corny show about highschoolers being turned into supernatural creatures (ugh how lame); jody and tyler were running around suspiciously (probably another prank. great. as long as it's not me i guess) and johnny was playing pool with the new kid, ryan.

the almost-killer of my dog he thought bitterly. he may not have intended for the dog to get hurt but mischief did. bailey isn't one for forgiving that easily. however it was ryan's idea to sell the soup and raise money for the bill so he kept that in mind.

he walked through the doors only to discover the office empty. fantastic.

"uh, mike?"

speak of the devil, mike popped his head around the corner of the kitchen door.

"yeah bailey?"

feeling slightly sheepish he replied,

"mischief's got out again"

bailey watched as mike face fell from curiosity to borderline frustration.

"really, again? i'm starting to regret agreeing to this and it's only been a week!" he murmured. bailey didn't think he was supposed to hear that last part.

"i've checked the house and he's not in the garden. he's probably just gone in the woods, i'll grab one of them lot and we'll go look"

mike sighed.

"it's not just that. you need to train him not to wander out the house like this or we're going to have to put in some sort of barrier for him"

of course bailey had to think of the worst possible answer, like barbed wire. mike wouldn't even consider it but the thought still panicked him.

"no no! i'll train him, promise. i just need to find him and then i'll start"

"okay, okay don't get so worried" he smiled slightly, "just don't go out looking alone, take someone with you please?"

bailey was already walking towards the lounge. he called out "yeah, yeah. already on it!"

when he opened the doors he was greeting with a small glare from carmen and a "shh". tee and kaz waved off her annoyance when they realised he had something to say.

"so mischief got out again" he stated. there were a few concerned murmurs but no one stopped him from continuing. "i need one of you to come with me to look for him."

"no chance mate. i like mischief but i ain't spending an hour or so alone with you" johnny joked. feeling's mutual he said to himself.

"yeah, sorry bailey but we're halfway through the penultimate episode and everything's kicking off. we're in our pyjamas anyway, it'd be quicker for you if we didn't have to get changed"

if anyone else had used that excuse he would have been pretty annoyed. but this was tee and she was probably the nicest person he knew, not that he'd ever tell her. it also helped she looked really apologetic, bailey had never been very good at telling himself he didn't care about other people's feelings. not that he'd tell them that either.
