I am finally starting home school my parents even got me my own laptop so I don't have to leave my room. I know it because they no longer care but still, I care for them so I will take it anyway.
I start up my online school trying to get cot up to the other students already on. My teachers are nice but I miss the actual contact of a person teaching me. But I'm doing fine with my work. I can even use the internet to get help since the teacher can't help when you need it. The work is harder and I get more than I did in a real school. I open a math worksheet and then there was a knock at the door.
My parents called for me to open the door and I did so. I opened the door seeing a man. His smile sent a shiver down my spine, at that moment I knew who it was. "What have you been up to?" He asked looking me with a real smile as I invited him in the house. My mother entered her eyes widening. "Why did you let this man in? None of us know him. Expectantly at midnight. Answer Now!" her voice raised with each word. My heart sank each time. I looked at him not sure I should've let him in. " Sorry mam, but do you remember when your daughter was in the hospital. She told you that I was coming when she woke up. Now you yell at her for even telling beforehand. If I am not wanted here I would like to ask if we could go for a walk up until I have to go back to work." All his words calm and all stabbing my mother making her madder. " I'm sorry sir, but if you even want to talk to my daughter you will have to go through me and I have to get to know you. I don't even know your name or your job so I would be pleased if you left." Her eyes had a fire in them; I've only seen that once and that was when my father was not cheating, at a game. When we were playing SORRY he had the cards in his sleeve and they fell out in mid game. All the good cards. My mother was loosing more than me and well finding he was cheating pissed him off to the point of stupidity.
I was snapped out of my thoughts as soon as the man spoke. " Sorry mam, but I will only leave with him and for my name, I go by many names but you should know me as the devil or to your daughter, Lucifer. The job I deal with people like you. People who don't believe or treat their children wrong after one mistake. So am I welcome to stay or are we leaving I don't have all night. Oh, wait I do."
My mother froze and looked at me with shock and fear written all over her face. I turned to Lucifer, mad but not mad enough to yell. " Lucifer can you not threaten parents. I know you care for me but still don't do that." I sighed hoping that was good enough to settle my mother in the thought of the devil himself is in our house. After a few moments of silents my mother spoke. fine if you want my daughter to have here but have her back before sunrise. Just for more information you are never welcome in this house." Her words were cold as she stared at me. All her words meant that I was no longer wanted as a daughter or house guess. that hurt me more than anything else. I turned to look at her one more time, before she went to bed, as I walked out the door.
