'Gajeel's POV

It's Christmas: the season of joy and love. Honestly I think I'm falling for the Shrimp: she's so beautiful and full of so much love and happiness. I can't help but hope she loves me back, otherwise there is no point in trying.

The mid-day sun shines through the windows, illuminating her shadow against the polished floor, her feet carrying her light, petite body back and forth, decorating the pine tree with delicate ornaments that she spends a good few seconds on deciding which bauble to hang next. I can't help but pause and just admire her.

"Gajeel." Levy clicked her fingers, snapping me out my thoughts. "Um."

"What do you need Shrimp?" She turns a slight shade of pink.

"Can you give me a boost? On your shoulders." In her hands is the bronze, twinkling star.

"Master." Gray whispers from behind a box. "Go on."

"Are you two short?" I tease lifting her up onto my shoulders.

"Shut up MetalHead."

"Ouch, that totally burns."

"Metal doesn't burn, idiot." She reaches a couple of inches in front of her, the star being pushed to the top.

"Do you want to be dropped?" I laughed, leaning backwards. In response she grabbed my hair. "Why my hair?" I whine, as I get my balance back.

"Do that again and it'll be your horns." She squeals, as I kneel down. Her feet make contact with the floor.

"Will you have dinner with me tonight? Its going to be a Christmas Dinner."

"Sounds lovely." She grins, brushing off dust on her shoulders.

"Dress up nice, please." I know I'm slightly blushing.

"I will." She responds, putting up the last bauble. "I'm going to the library. Merry Christmas Gajeel."

"Merry Christmas Levy."

The sun keeps shining, a few snowflakes falling gracefully. I wander back to my room, Natsu and Gray following after me, repeating that they were going to help me choose what to wear, despite me arguing with them about the entire subject. In the end, I gave up, letting them dive into my wardrobe.

"What about this Master?" Natsu pointed out a navy suit, with a gold vest to wear over a blouse.

"Yeah, that's fine." I grunt, sitting down in a chair.

"Are you okay?" Gray asks, sounding concerned.

"I've been getting so close with Levy. I feel like something is going to happen to ruin it all. For Forever."

"Master, Lucy told me something a few weeks ago." Natsu comforted me. "You shouldn't be so worried."

"What are you implying Flame Brain?"

"It's been a long time since you've called me that." He chuckles alongside Gray. "A really long time."

Levy's POV

It's been about 5 months since I've been here, and still can't help but miss my Father. Yet I've been spending so much time with Gajeel, and I'm actually loving it; he's just so interesting to get to know, plus he isn't bad-looking. When he's not looking, I always stare in awe of his smoking red eyes, that seem to have a glimmer in, for some reason.

"Levy, shall we go and get you ready?" Lucy, Lisanna and Mira entered the library, disturbing my peace.

"Sure." I closed the book in my hands and walked with them back to my room.

Juvia looked like she was waiting anxiously, when we saw her, she was mumbling to herself in a different language: it sounds like French. She immediately shuts up, and produces a golden dress, with amber and orange skirts, that'd come to the bottom of my feet. It looked so perfect just on its own.

"Put it on deary." Juvia sang.

"This is for me." I gasp, the material comforting my hands.

"It'll look so nice on you." Mira exclaims, leaping onto the dresser.

"Well, okay."

My whole insides burst into happiness, as I rush to get out my current dress and into the one shining in front of me. The material slipped on top of my head, fitting into my small curves, the skirts slightly puffed out, but not to some extent would it make me stop dancing later: if we even do dance. Lisanna hopped forward and pointed her handle towards to some silver heals, that were underneath Juvia. Like a child I reached for them, placing them on my size 3 feet.

"Oh Levy." Lucy gasped, showing me to the full length mirror. "You look like a princess."

"When in reality I'm just a towns girl pretending to be someone she's not."

"Look, don't be upset. Have fun tonight." Lisanna chirped, opening my door for me. "Come on, the food is ready."

"Okay." I grin, following after my animate friends, yet they take a different route to the dining room. Candle light warms my heart and my stomach grows butterflies, as we appear on a balcony facing a nervous Gajeel. My heels drew his attention and I couldn't help but blush beetroot red.

"Evening Gajeel." I stutter.

"Evening Levy." He waited patiently as I walked down the small stairs.

"You look handsome Gajeel!"

"Levy, you look stunning."

"Thanks."

"Shall we start eating."

"Please." I grinned as he pulled my chair out, like a gentleman.

"So, do you think it will snow tonight?" He breaks the silence.

"With how cold it has been, I'm certain."

"You like the snow?"

"I've loved it since I was a kid. But I hated it when my hands got cold."

"I don't think I've ever played in the snow before."

"If it snows, let's play tomorrow."

"Sounds fun." He beams.

"Your first course!" Natsu and a try of food was pushed to the end of the table, which we both had to pick up and place in front of us.

"Tell Mira thanks." I smile gratefully at the candlestick.

"Of course Levy."

"So you've been reading anything new lately?" Gajeel asks halfway through eating.

"Actually I have. It's a typical live story about a damsel in distress: not one of my favourites so far."

"Go on."

"I just find the ones where the women are always helpless just bland. Women can be strong too."

"I agree. I think you're definitely a strong woman."

"Thanks, I like to think so too."
